Match making broken

And what is up with the player skill distribution graph, it's laughable, and obviously not correct. Last 50 games is has shown me and my team being all the way right, in the 99th percentile. But everytime we meet other players they wipe us out in under 3 seconds, so we are clearly way at the bottom.

Same problem, but EA and Respawn don't care. It's a shame to even continue writing on this topic, but I know how you feel.

It probably works as the devs intend it to work. Question is: how do they define and measure "skill", i.e the variable that is supposedly used in the matchmaking and is showed in the graph =) If you look at what is rewarded in ranked, they probbaly value getting top 10 more than getting 10 kills and dies at a hot drop

It feels that way since the new TTK is getting literally noobs to be **bleep**in on you. The devs said they would fix it? Adding a dumb chart before selecting your legend is not helping.

I came here to post this. I’m having the exact same experience. Matchmaking is totally broken. 1 KDR average in the past few seasons, now getting absolutely annihilated by 4K/20 bombers in every match. I hate to be one of those “I’m gonna quit” players, but I won’t be coming back until this is fixed. 

i'm constantly on the left side of the graph, even when my teammates have thousands of kills.  if they're just rating you on your recent matches that makes more sense since i've been dying left and right since the TTK was raised. 

My KDR also dropped to about half of what it was in the past couple of seasons. But I also recently changed from playing on Switch to PC, which was already a challenge in itself and then they dropped the faster TTK which was another hit.

It's now climbed to almost the previous level. I still don't like the new TTK because various legends and playstyles are now a lot less viable (Crypto and Loba come to mind, probably most of the controllers).

Yes, so the conclusion can only be, that the quicker you die and the less damage you do, the more "skilled" devs deem you to be.. unless the skill distribution is meant to be read so that being all the way to the right, means you are at the lowest end.. which would make no sense (or actually would make sense why my experience is as it is).

The normal progression last 5 seasons before this one, is when doing public BR, I get fights vs something like bots the first 5 matches, and my kd is 9 or so, then I am ranked up way above my level, and am annihilated the next 50 matches until my kd is around 1, and then I stay at that level the rest of the seaoson. Definitely not optimalt experience, but way better than this season, where I got the same start, bots the first 5 games, kd around 7+ but then annihilation the next 100+ matches. I am now at 0.5 kd and still get annihilated, all the while the last 100 matches where i been annihilated instantly i apparently am at the 99th percentile of skill distribution, which seems to be a way to mock me only, because it has nothing to do with reality.

The skill distribution curve is an absolute joke.  I honestly think it is just a randomized graphic with no real data behind it.  Complete garbage.
