Loot is generated on the ground

Particulary: extended/weapons Supply Bins opened now by assault and support legends. Have you wondered how it is possible that every time you open extended supply bin with weapons attachments there is always something (more than two things sometimes) that fits perfectly your gun(s)? Well, we can now finish long time dispute: loot is generated on the ground, not before jump.

  • Almost all loot on the ground is generated at the start of the match.

The only things that aren't included are Care Packages and the extended parts of loot bins (e.c Assault Loot Bins)

Like you guessed, the game determines what to spawn in depending on what you have in your inventory for the assault loot bins.

This smart system is used to make these bins feel more useful as far I'm aware, though not all loot is generated upon getting close, including normal loot bins.

@XHelperZ And you truly believe that it is only generated on ground only for those extended bins?
    Just curious.

Well, MRVN's technically generate the loot upon accessing them, so you could count that too.

Can also count Lifeline's ultimate as that one is intended to accommodate for what you have in your inventory at the moment.

I can't find anything about lootboxes generating their contents upon opening apart from the extended part for Assault/Support classes.

@XHelperZ So that system generating loot on the ground is already in the game, for all loot or just for some loot. Loot is engagement optimized just like matchmaking is.

If loot were to be generated when you are walking around then it's entirely possible for you to spot a gun spawning in front of you.

As far I'm aware, there haven't been any reported cases of that happening.

They could get away with it with lootbins, though since Loba is able to see these items before opening, it would mean that it would pretty much result in the same issue as mentioned above.

So this means that well, it's most likely just those smart sections of the lootbins, nothing else really.

I don't have any exact sources to confirm this, we're pretty much all speculating at this point.

Though I'd say it's extremely unlikely.

@XHelperZNo, I mean loot is going like slot machine until some distance from the ground when jumping from the dropship. Ok, I was inaccurate, not on the "ground" (except mentioned attachments and maybe something else), but when everybody are still in the air. Meaning: not on the start of the match. After initial screen goes off loot is not determined yet.

@AreYouShivering I feel Respawn Fu**ed by releasing that lil bit of information. Basically the potential for manipulation of loot we now know is possible. Not saying that is what happens. But we have confirmation that you can be scanned prior to approaching loot bins and it can scan your loadout and place items appropriately or the opposite.
