lost everything
A couple days ago I opened apex to play, and I said to connect an EA account, I never had this happen before, I finally got the right account connected but I had no Apex packs, coins, crafting metals, noting of those sorts. so, I closed it and opened it through EA instead of Steam and I'm level one with zero progress. I want my account back>

It sounds like when you were prompted to connect an EA account, you've connected a new account with no progress instead of the account where you'd previously been playing Apex. The EA account you're using now is pretty much brand new, so it wouldn't have any old progress.
Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. This means if you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress and it will appear to have reset. Progress cannot be moved between different accounts.
You'll want to re-link your platform to whichever EA account was used before this instead. We are not able to make any changes to your account status or progress via the forums, but if something was linked or unlinked incorrectly it may be worth contacting support to see if the original platforms can be re-linked.
