Maggie's Tacticals & Ult Seem Pretty Mediocre

Both could use some adjustments. Maybe increasing the Range & Width on where her Riot Drill can deal damage by like 20%. The Utility/Damage her ult provide is pretty underwhelming as well, one or the other could use a buff. Buffing the speed boost is probably the best option. What's everyone else's thoughts on her balance state?

  • mostly agree with you tbh, her ult just doesnt feel like an ult, that said it does charge fast but i do wish it was a bit better, i do think her tactical is very useful in some situations its just a lot of times those situations are not happening like for it to be helpful you need something in between you and your enemy and a lot of the time that just isnt possible

    I am generally against abilities doing significant damage. Stunning effects like Valkyries/Ashes is bad enough. I would hate if this game where fights are won solely on the use of abilities, rather than aim, wits and movement.  

    I havent played her enough to really have an opinion how balanced her kit as a whole is but her Q seems very underwhelming TBH. I have never been in a situation where I was very bothered by an enemy Maggies tactical. Correct me if I am wrong but its pretty much a Thermite that can burn through walls just like Thermite can burn through doors? Seems pretty weak tbh. So yeah, perhaps will she need a buff but I hope it doesnt mean more dmg.

  • I agree she needs more love, they're not that great. Her Riot drill doesn't seem to do anything, it's to small, many ppl just step to the side or backwards and dodge it easily, the damg also feels lacking when it does hit.. 10-20 damg most times i see it .. basically it only works if someone is STANDING STILL WHICH NOONE DOES IN THIS GAME. xD

    Tactical buff:
    Increase it's width 50% (for now)
    Increase length depending on depth it goes through, thick wall as the range it is now to thinner walls 100% more range.  (As i said ppl can just walk backwards and be fine, that extra range will force them to go sideways more )
    Damg 100-200%?, as it is so easily dodge and suppose to be a powerful laser.. may as well make it hurt when it hits.

    (Fuse does a far better job hitting behind cover and far more damg and coverage area with his tactical, but it isn't ment for damg :/ yet i tend to break shields so often or kill people off so much more than Maggie can... oh can't forget that fuse can also spam nades to force people out of cover)

    For her ulti, would been cool as a DAMG ulti but like some ppl say we can't always rely on killing with ulti's so being a CC one does make a change... only problem is it's very situational and doesn't really do much, most fights i use it i still die as if it did nothing, it just boops them back a little but they can still shoot fine, not only that her ulti also helps enemies use the speed boosts... it should slow them down instead like a slow mine field.

    Ultimate buff:

    If hit by the ball you get half of the effect of what a star grenade would do while getting knocked back as usual.

    The pulse mines should speed allies while slowing enemies. That's it.

    Except for the volume of her Ult. Ear piercing. Helps drown out the "no enemy footsteps" .... good thinking Respawn - making the sound so loud, maybe some ppl won't notice your horrid excuse for a sound engine and lack of enemy sound.  : )

    It makes sense tho, amplify the sound on everything, from guns to environmental sounds to shield evole to tacs and ults......that way you guys actually have some sort of excuse as to why you cant hear, urrr, make enemy footsteps. You know, instead of the Dev response, "Gee, I don't know why" 

  • @star99er I completely disagree. I've been playing Maggie since she dropped and she's one of the best counters to any defensive play.
    -Enemies can't rez behind doors or walls without getting burned
    -you can use it defensively if you need to heal around a corner or on a door
    -it forces people who are hiding behind head glitches or boxes to move out into the open or take the 160 damage from the tact.
    -her ult isn't meant to do high damage and it shouldn't. It is meant for pushing and movement.
    -it has a huge detonation range and can't be stopped by doors, damage or Watson ult. It causes a blowback and stun which opens up for lasering an enemy when it knocks them away from their cover.
    -her passive makes you not even have to stow your weapon to move at full speed. That saves so much time on readying your weapon if you walk up on an enemy by accident and can win you more fights.

    Honestly I think you guys just don't know how to play her yet. She is a hard Rampart, Caustic, Watson and Gibby counter.
