I just watched a new player in ranked take me to a respawn beacon far away from him, towards combat, then proceed to threat scan as bloodhound, reveal an entire team in front of him, then try to respawn me knowing they were right directly in front of him (300-500m away).
Meanwhile an easy, nearby, safe respawn beacon was behind him, several meters from where I actually died....... But because it's not "in next ring" it cannot be pinged as the nearest beacon.......
Please either let us ping which beacon to respawn at or fix the game logic that tells players the nearest beacon to include the duration until ring closes. This would require extra work, such as calculating how much time the player gets to the beacon, use the beacon, and for me to actually get out......
But this current "nearest beacon" system is still as painful as it was back in August.....
