There is a good reason it was done it a rotation instead of a pick.
If its a pick, the playerbase gets split between the two maps, que time gets longer (as you said, though this isn't "slightly longer que times"), but there are likely few other problems that start happening.
It might not make sense to you, but you are thinking about "what I want" over "what the consequences would be if I got what I want". Please remember, it's not that they aren't listening, its that they have data the supports different information over a vocal minority.
It's also why solo's don't currently exist in the game outside of LTE modes, because it negatively impacted the game along with player retention, and the numbers reflected.
A prime example of this was Revenant's massive buff. Player's weren't happy with him, the numbers very much reflected this, so he got a massive buff that he really should have had at the beginning of the season.
Yes
Many games use the same system and I do not think you are taking into account the "consequences" of map rotation. Players are leaving the game. I am aware that each sides has pros and *. I've read about them. I heard both sides. "The numbers" will definitely reflect the benefit of map selection. It not just what I want but what the majority of community wants if you scroll through and actually look at the feedback. There are many ways that selection can work and que times wouldn't be that long. There are many tactics that can be tried because rotation is a bad and annoying system. Even if we couldn't get map rotation( which im positive we can) then it should change back to just WE like I stated in my other post because rotation is NOT a good system.
