I guess this is pointless since gold is over but even normally I have the Mastiff hitting for * 19 damage way more than it should. Close range and I'm watching shots land.

It's a combination of a really odd spread plus awful, awful hit detection. I hit a Gibby standing still, AFK looting a box, dead center whilst aiming and it gave me a whopping 90 damage. Total damage in one body shot is 122 to legends with the Fortified perk, and with 8 pellets per Mastiff shot, that's 15.25 damage per pellet give or take. Meaning two pellets completely didn't register at all on a static target with nothing obscuring my aim, at a distance where all 8 pellets would've landed.

@chiefthunderball You have to use the scope or whatever to shrink the cursor thing to get better damage atleast that helps me when the spread is closer together

@MajchiDaFroggoYT I think its inconsistant because everyone was crying for them to nerf the peacekeeper because it was ‘’noob friendly’’ but in the end they nerfed all shotguns so you don’t always get consistant damage, also the mastiff is like twice as strong as the PK so I would imagine they made its bullets even smaller or whatever to nerf it but for the most part Ive been doing great with mastiffs im just awful at using a kraber or any sniper in general

Its not much of a legendary if it does 19dmg is it 😂 i dont think they nerfed the mastiff all shotguns were unreliable since the first season. I do remember once when a mastiff did 2 dmg to a player on kings canyon. U can imagine i was screaming my lungs off. Was the last player i did manage to kill him and we won but dude cmon who wants to see the nmb 2 with a golden gun. I have no problems tbh with any of the guns for a while now bcz i got used to all the bs that happens so i just go with the flow.

Mastiff is so ridiculously inconsistent

@FaIIenAngeI777 @And btw they didnt nerf the PK they actually wrote that they are looking into it its like they have no idea how to fix what they did to it. I guess thats just EA 🙂

I got hit by it for like 90 damage from a good 20 feet away. Went to the firing range to try and recreate the damage. It was VERY HARD to recreate it. Even having my reticle on the same spot the mastiff wasnt putting out the same damage. The gun is very inconsistent for a legendary

Almost a year later mb for the necro, but just ADS. Its literally better than peacekeeper. Does 90 damage at close-mid range.

@Mach6TicTac I would assume he did ADS but no. Peacekeeper is stronger. Slightly lower damage and fire rate but greater range with ADS being entirely unnecessary. I'm still fine with bringing back the PK but it was insane.
