I for one, started a month ago at the bidding of my boarder who plays on PS4. I didn't encounter as much brute force then because the season was on the last month. I have found going solo in trio matches helps me to explore the map better. I don't need to drag others down as a boat anchor either. Having an in house expert of this game has helped a lot. Asking a lot of questions over your mic might irritate your team. Not all teams know what to do. I have learned early drop is early death. Can you tell me how to get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice... use the rifle range a lot. When you make friends you can get organized. I never start any BR saying, I am going to win. I set a personal objective, usually some challenge from my tracking. If we get the win, it is just icing on the cake.
In the random arenas, you can do your most damage, there are no npc raptors and you just have the 3 enemies... unless you count the one on your team. lol Find guns that suit your play style. Learn the mechanics of the characters. Eventually you will love or hate this game. I don't recommend people who hate the game to play, but give it a chance.
- 4 years ago@Highresista Oh yeah, the worst thing you can do in Apex Legends is play with friends in a premade.
The matchmaking system will dramatically inflate your hidden matchmaking rating when you queue premade. This has been an issue since 2019 and there are thousands of forum posts since 2019 describing this exact same issue you're having.- reconzero4 years agoSeasoned Ace@BlairNines
This is so true. Game wants you to play with friends, then spanks you for playing with friends. I'd call it a design flaw, but I'm a solo myself so it doesn't really affect me.
