Mental Health

On a serious not I would like to mention that apex legends needs to come with a mental health warning, especially if you’re playing solo.

I am a 5 x master rank so whenever I play pubs I get put in high level lobbies however the team mates the game gives me are about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.

along with this the fact your match making system is literally designed to make people loose and then win a few games after to encourage playing more supports my claim to have mental health warning.

last season due to the Rev meta in ranked I found myself going to bed depressed and stressed even though I was making progress and hit masters I still found myself feeling that way after dealing with endless things that just completely ruined my mood.

I have video proof of my been shot miles around cover where I cannot even be seen when I literally clutched up killed 2 people and got the 3rd to 10hp and then I was in cover and got shot. Do you have any idea of demotivated that stuff makes you.

landing first spamming to pick up and weapon yet the guy who landed a few seconds after somehow manages to get it

getting punched out by 3 no life’s just because I have a master trail

opening a bin on landing next to a guy opening a bin I get only meds he’s gets a EVA

there is so many things completely out of control of the player to which these stresses are caused.

I have seen many other people mention this and with the world been how it is right now I believe every company should be trying to help with mental health and this game needs to advise that it will literally ruin it

@Versa_Drmz Just quit playing it. I was banned from origin forever for using a word describing mental condition. They are the ones who needs professional help, don't let it spread on you too.
  • @Versa_Drmz This post must put a real stone in the stomach of the founders and developers of this game knowing they create and maintain something that makes normal people depressed and gives them lower quality of life. If that doesn't kill motivation to work on this game... The game has some good aspects with movement but the way it manipulates and creates bad emotions in people is disgusting and shameful. Its not against the law to maipulate and create rage inducing games, but it doesn't make it right.
  • @Versa_Drmz If someone is affected emotionally and mentally by a video game, they need to make the choice to stop playing it. Many of the situations you described are based on player choice, not the way Apex is designed.

Some people get entirely too worked up emotionally over situations in game, from losing to having teammates that don't meet their expectations. No one is responsible for how you feel.

I know personally, there are times when I decide to log off after 1 match because I'm just not feeling it. Other times, I have several great teammates who leave me feeling awesome. There's no need for an advisory on Apex unless you want to put one on all MMOs.
  • @Versa_Drmzyesterday i get 2 random teammate's level 12 and level 38 ...and the champion squad was full 3stack all had master badge,20 kill and 4k ... like wtf .......they don't give us solo players a solo mode so we can enjoy apex for once. Most of the champion squads i see are full 3stacks in same clan and * ...it's literally not fair to play against 3stacsk...

  • I see it’s been a while, but I’d like to chime in and say that it's crucial to prioritize your well-being and find ways to cope with those emotions. If playing Apex Legends consistently leads to such distress, it might be worth considering taking a break from the game or finding a healthier balance. Also, learning from losses and using them as opportunities for improvement can help you approach the game with a more positive mindset. However, if you ever feel emotionally overwhelmed or find it difficult to cope with the negative impact of gaming on your mental health, you may consider using the hotlines for mental health. They can offer valuable assistance in managing your emotions and maintaining a healthy well-being.

We'll close this out from here to limit necroposting as it's been a while since it was last active but that's an excellent addition to the thread, thank you @Samantha1337. I'm sure it will help future readers that come across this discussion down the line.
