Mirage ultimate easier to find real Mirage now?

I don't know if it's just me, or if something they did in the season 8 update to Mirage (think it was just his decoys having footsteps, but I may have missed something), but I swear it seems like people know immediately which mirage is me every time I ult now this season. Did they change his ult in some way that I am unaware of, or am I just doing something wrong this season with his new buff and people can hear the real me vs the fake mes???

  • @jokool_aidFootstep sounds have nothing to do with it, everytime a mirage casts his ult the decoys always deploy the same way so its obvious which ones the real mirage if you do it where someone is watching you cast it but not everyone has caught onto that yet so will still be bamboozled, also sometimes I can tell if one mirage is more realistic than the others like climbing over stuff or obviously trying to grab banners and run away

in season 7 all i did was listen for the footsteps so the addition of decoy footsteps is helpful, the mirage is almost always the one on the north though but it depends how they deploy it I usually crouch slide to the side of the enemy then do a 180-360 spin to confuse em and laser them in the back

Ive seen zeus and jankz do an ult then not move at all... so they have absolutely no idea which is the real one but I haven’t tried doing that yet I might just try that and play mirage for fun awhile

  • @jokool_aid No idea but one glaring difference between a bad Mirage and a half decent one is using the ult or tactical when you break line of sight first.

A quick slide behind cover pop ult/tac, should be enough to get the upper hand if they waste bullets on the decoy.

Also nothing is stopping you from moving like a decoy to.
  • @jokool_aid Like it's been mentioned, if your popping the ult while someone is actively looking/ shooting at you it's pretty easy to track the real Mirage. Plus, depending on your skin, the holographic glowy bits still glow when you go invisible, making it even easier to track you.
  • @jokool_aidIt really depends on how you move - I've found walking backwards and left or right in a circle really seems to work well. There's a lot of things that you do while you're moving that you don't even notice, but they can give you away as your decoys might not be able to mimic it perfectly. So walking backwards, something you don't typically do, can remove some of those giveaways.

Mirage decoys should spawn in diferent directions not in circle pattern , its easy to detect the real mirage and they should all shoot when the real mirage shoots.....
