I'd vote for mouse & keyboard on consoles. I'm not sure why Respawn keeps taking every idea from COD, but not the ones that make COD so much better. If some don't know, COD fully supports mouse & keyboard on both consoles already, plug in your device and good to go.
Also, don't let others confuse you. Mouse & keyboard is not OP over a controller. There are pros to both devices, but mouse & keybaord will takes years to learn them. Most people worried about mouse & keybaord don't know what the hell their talking about.

@Popa2capsExactly! Finally someone who understands. I hope Respawn and EA would see this and consider the idea.
I also play M&K in COD simply because crossplay is automatically turned on and I prefer M&K on FPS games. But on other genres like open-world exploration or RPG then controller is my preferred input.
Again, I just want options to be put out in APEX so everybody can play games however they want regardless of their platform. You shouldn't have to buy a PC and a console just to play M&K or controller, depending on what you feel like playing with.- Anonymous6 years ago

Yeah, I see mouse & keyboard for what they are, not what people see in top 10 videos used by people for 10 plus years. I know people do not pick up the device and just become masters of gaming. I also know that controllers without aim assist still are good and/ or bad in the right and wrong hands. That is what people forget. It's the person behind the product, not the product doing the work.
I've also tested mouse & keyboard on PC at 120+ FPS. It's smooth, but takes sometime to learn. Nothing competes currently with how easy it is to use a controller on Apex with aim assist. It's mostly why all major streamers don't play Apex, unless EA pays them. It takes shroud $100k to play Apex now from EA right?
So if Apex did get muse & keyboard it wouldn't hurt the community, not a single bit. The thing hurting Apex is the lacking updates with lore and story and not make game play changes. To the people who are worried about mouse & keyboard, you're wasting your time.
WASD is so bad at movement it's crazy.
- 6 years ago@Popa2caps If they add keyboard support back to consoles then it will just be full of players exploiting again with cheats etc. Once they took this feature off console it reduced the amount of cheaters heavily, this is why I fully support it staying off console.

I don't recall consoles ever having the ability in Apex Legends, You by chance confused with a different title? I'm talking about native support, not 3rd party cronusmax.
I wish they could stop from using the 3rd party devices like cronusmax, but there is no way to tell when someone is using it. The system just signs it as a controller. Also these devices should work on the newest consoles as well. We're stuck with people on consoles using scripts tell someone like Microsoft and/ or Sony does something about it.
For native support for mouse and keyboard, I don't mind it at all. I play Warzone and don't think much of it, and most are PC players with them. Also in COD native support still shows that more people tend to use the controller for the added aim assist. Mouse & keyboard is not OP, it's only people who learn to use them well, and let's be honest, most suck with them.- 6 years ago@Popa2caps On ps4 players were using a strike pack to increase their speed of shooting; it also had the ability to remove recoil completely and other things. (yes this was a third party plugin which ruined apex on console) Plugged in via a USB cable to the console and Apex could tell no difference. This specific item was and most likely still is available in retailers like walmart in the US.
The devices will not work on next-gen console unless they update their software; this is also why nobody knows what external hard drives are to be purchased for next-gen consoles until testing is complete.
I have to disagree due to knowing that you have your entire arm and a bunch of extra keys, macro's included and being able to rebind controls to fit your preference.
I don't think most PC players suck but I have realised that close range combat is very awkward on PC when playing. It will definitely give controller players a new perspective when fighting close range as the fights are a lot more interesting, it's crazy how good some players are at dodging bullets and doing acrobatic movements right in front of your face lol

I actually find it wrong for console users to play against console users using mouse and keyboard. Just like on pc where things will be manipulated to give a player a edge over another. M/K movement is completely different from controller. So for console users to use this means you are giving yourself a advantage over fellow console users. While you see it as harmless those on console who cant move as you do or even stand a chance is harmful. Thats just my 2 cents.
As far as i can tell console players dont get advantages over others as its strict controller verse controller. This is most fair gameplay one could ever ask for. You know how bad id wish pc was against pc users only? Not these 3rd party players using Strike packs - Xim and more. With these 2 = a aim assist from hell and back. These 3rd party plug in devices allow you to trick the pc into thinking that the controller is the main source of the pc in mouse movement. So whats this add? Aim assist to mouse and keyboard. Also plug in the recoil macros that are normally on xim web sites openly gave these 2 together = 100% unfair game play on PC. You be best to never want to try Pc unless you care to play with others who manipulate the games mechanics and nothing happening to them whats so ever.

Honestly buddy I've played on PC with my girl and it wasn't that much different but I didn't really enjoy it on PC due to the movement system from controller not being as smooth as it is on console. Maybe we can both agree that since Respawn agree that M&K don't belong on consoles, then maybe controller shouldn't be supported on PC? But it may also be too late for that as many players are already able to play via controller on PC already. There would be an outcry from pro players as they would be forced to move to a new system (console) and purchase new equipment to record (like an elgato if they don't already have one).
As far as i can tell console players dont get advantages over others as its strict controller verse controller.
As you suggested earlier, some players use a default PS4 controller (like myself) and others use a controller worth valuably more to gain the advantage of never having to use CLAW or having added buttons on the back, this does indeed give you an advantage over others unless you're very adjusted to using CLAW.
While you see it as harmless those on console who cant move as you do or even stand a chance is harmful
If we took your theory; then by that standard, since you stated that most M&K players are bad, and I know there are quite a bunch of pro PC players, wouldn't that also be classed as harmful? I do not think of it this way because for every single game you will find good and bad players. What Respawn need to do is start banning PC players who cheat with a harsh ban just like they did on PS4. When I play on PS4 it doesn't feel like anyone is cheating to kill me anymore; this hasn't happened since season 4-5, so they are definitely going thoroughly through everything to make sure that Apex is Cheater-free. However as consoles are rather limited; on PC you will always find a workaround for it, I believe this is the issue as to why players are more likely to be found cheating on PC.
- 6 years ago@Popa2caps I realised that you also voted for mouse and keyboard on console, but aren't you also suggesting that on PC controllers have too strong of a aim assist? Since it is 0.2 stronger on console than PC, then wouldn't you also be asking for a nerf on controller then? See the predicament buddy? It just wouldn't work out if it is added as a feature.

i would love the below to become common in video games.
Aim assist on both PC / Consoles be reduced and/ or removed.
It's really not that hard to aim without it. If a game has fine controls, Apex Legends is close (advanced menu), you can do wonders. I would just setlle for no aim assist lobbies as well.. Because I've played on PC with both a controller and mouse. So I know what it's like not having someone always aim assist you in the back.
Moving to consoles though, I know what it feels like now. Everyone just has master aim, it shouldn't be that. You should need to try in a shooter.
Mouse & keyboard support native on consoles.
That way people think to use that over just using 3rd party device like cronusmax etc. Also, If aim assist is not removed, it shouldn't work on players who have it disabled. Example, If a controller player has aim assist disabled in the advanced menu, another controller player with it enabled shouldn't be able to get aim slowdown, and turn on that said person.
I expect Respawn to add naive mouse and keyboard support soon. They follow everything from COD Warzone. Expect it around the crossplay time.- 6 years ago@Popa2caps I doubt it will be added, your suggestions just wont work, every game has aim assist on console, the controller just doesn't feel right without it. Especially 6 seasons in.
Console did have keyboard support when it first released but they removed it as they knew it was unfair.
I personally think a decision like that would kill the game. The only players that benefit would be M&K players.
