I came from other fps I gotta say mouse and keyboard is literally unplayable, the game balance is just awful. FPS is supposedly where mouse rocks and controllers sucks, but in apex it's totally reversed, deliberately making it so difficult to aim with a garbage crosshair design that has an area big as a donut or with a dot tiny like a fullstop, it's cant even viewable, shaking so bad and and unaimable. The maps are overly large and poorly designed, where as controllers can kill easily with snipers like charge rifles over 200m away auto locking and following onto target, mouse couldnt even have a better aim at the player and get a decent hit, at close range its even worse, players we running and sliding without the need to aim well with aim assist. I dun mind having a little aim assist for controllers to help a little, but having this is like playing against a bunch of official aimbot cheaters not really have to care about aiming so that can run and slide mindlessly while keeping the aim. Another problem is that aim assist gives the players a heads up like half a sec advantage over mouse players, which is life n death decisive on a fast pace fps, it should either be nerfed or else mouse should have aim asst as well to give fair gameplay. All in all the balance sucks in all sense, so is matchmaking, but of course this is an ea game, they dun really give a crap about game balance and everything, most of their games are just souless badly designed money grab.

Controller players don't realize that mnk players have to do all of that themselves, making them way less accurate overall. the fact that even pro player switched to controllers already means that aim assist is ridiculously op, a lot of players are already complaining about this already. IF you think aim assist isnt useful at all i suggest you switching it off to play or agree that developers implement into mouse n keyboard

@jindannnn I love this topic ☺️Btw you shouldn’t engage to much with SolitaryMassacre, I had one discussion with him a while ago about AA… he will not back down, he will not accept the reality, so just spare yourself the pain and let him believe what ever he likes.I played mnk and controller on high diamond, and to reach dia 2 it took me exactly 1 split with controller while I didn’t touch controllers for the last 20 years.But you overexaggerate what AA does, don’t get me wrong it is op and there is really no room for maunovering, some people just can’t accept it. Imperialhal said in his interview after they won the last big tournament that he had to switch to controller because he couldn’t keep up mechanically anymore, how could anyone try to devalue the opinion of the arguably most successful apex player of all time.But will respawn do something about it ? No they won’t because it would cost them players.

Hey folks, This thread is quickly becoming unproductive, please keep in mind the forum guidelines when posting so we can keep replies respectful and about the game rather than targeting each other. Locking this down here, thanks to those that had provided constructive feedback!

@jindannnn Just a heads up but Apex has one of the biggest learning curves amongst any FPS games I’ve played. It usually takes a few dozen to hundreds of hours playing before you are no longer starring into loot boxes and know the maps. Seems like you need to change a lot of basic settings to remove some of the junk. Not advanced look controls. I’m talking about minimizing the shaking by sprinting, toggle crouch/zoom, and field of view settings. Apex is not initially set at an optimized setting. There are plenty of YouTube video on optimizing these basic settings. Another problem you are facing is the vast number of players with 1000s of hours on a single legend making new accounts because the ruthless matchmaking system. Public trios or duos will feel like the sweatiest lobby you’ve ever been in sometimes. Sorry to say this but you’ve come in on the decline of Apex.

Your complaint about AA with a sniper at over 200M is just BS. AA is not active once past a certain distance and 200M is past the certain distance lol.

My guess, you are not getting killed by controller players, but my general hackers. There are SO many in apex its getting ridiculous. Its why i'm here now.

A little heads up is already a huge difference between life and death, how much longer if you are required to find and aim an enemy, not to mention it auto aims and locks on for you. The balance is ridiculously off, i believe the developers didnt even test it before bringing it out, or deliberately making it so difficult for mouse players. Anyways it both sucks to play and unfair to mouse players, I have never perform so badly in an fps before. Its the reason why EA developers have made games inferior to the other developers, the game designers have no sense at all, actually I have no idea why they make so much money yet a lot of their games still sucks to play. Just look at another fps developed by ea dice battlefield, the map design is such a mess, ridiculous large totally out of scale, its all made for snipers and campers, I already know the game is stupid watching the gameplay on youtube.

Sooo as a MnK player on many games for MANY hours, we talk about 5k for example on Hunt Showdown or Halo which is a console game and a half, find it an absolute chore to play with a controller, i have one right here next to me which i slapped into my USB port just a week ago to try and see what all these claims are up for and i never felt so oddly claustrophobic and limited in the way i WANT to play, giving me tank controll vibes from old Playstation 1 days like Resident Evil or Dino Crisis LOL.
I feel sooooo sluggish with controller by basic movement like looking around and have to disagree time and time again, it's more up to practice and how proficient you become with said input device, but ultimately MnK is way more responsive than a controller can ever be.
I play since S1 and have a acc K/D of 1.64 - 1.70, so relatively positive, it's not in my right to tell you that but...have you considered the thought that Apex is just too demanding of a game for you and should maybe play something else if you're not willing to take on the learning curve? Cuz thats the vibe that im getting here "Why am i not slapping rears like a Diamond right away."

Thats exactly whats happening. Sadly people were not even realizing how much aim assist were helping them, and over half of the time were just killed by someone out of nowhere, with assist they are getting a heads up and auto aiming where the enemy is. The target locking is even more ridiculous and unfair to any mouse players, it's like ten times harder to aim and shoot while running in motion without assist, this isnt even about leaning curve, its about game balance and clearly this game doesnt have any. Hey EA your games suck.

Since i even gave you a screenshot of valid proof (Have a second screenshot from a game right after with Loba again with 9 kills), here is your very personal Tip of mine JUST for you: Uninstall, find something else and especially another Forum to cry on, since you become less and less professional and especially less constructive with each added reply of yours.

Simply deal with it that people CAN very well disagree and quit being in such hard denial, it's painful.
