I'm not going to address too much here because I've never used mnk to play a game. What I can address is the above quote. I think you may have meant something other than what you typed, because this 23 year controller veteran fights recoil every single time he shoots a weapon in this game. Recoil that I'll describe to anyone who will listen as "uncontrollable." If a controller was all that was required to be able to hit targets in this game then I'd be at the next algs instead of mostly dead.

@rikzin98 Giving mnk aim assist is not the answer. That's the same as giving people trophies for losing, it makes no sense. I don't want it when I use mnk and I definitely don't want other people to have it

Yeah. So Apex isn't a mnk game. If you want to play on mnk you clearly are at a bigger disadvantage. Gotta be a sweaty because you're basically going against aimbots.
Playing on MnK have some movement advantages but it's not like having aim assist. That's why pro players are choosing controlller over mnk.
Just get good on controller and movement doens't even matter that much. I play for about 2 years and get more kills on controller. Started on mnk. Aim assist kicks even from far distances, no skill required so it's kind of whatever.

Aim assist is an assist, it shouldn't play such an integral role in balance.
Now the only proper way to balance this is by lowering the aim assist for the other side.
Also aim assist on mouse isn't really that useful, probably better for super long range fights but more than that, not really.

This is the kind of statement that makes me wonder if this entire issue is in fact a non-issue that people will latch onto in order to victim-mentality their way out of losses.

As an argument against controller, I'm not really buying it. As an argument against crossplay, yes. If only so we could stop listening to people on both sides claim that the other side has an unfair advantage.

@reconzero In the last ALGS when it comes to kills it was dominated by mnk actually.
How many mnk and controllerplayers were competing I actually don’t know.
But we need to keep in mind that mnk numbers are highly inflated by the fact that there are much more mnk competitive players than competitive controllerplayers in the FPS genre, probably something like 10 to 1.

What we also shouldn’t ignore is that tsm has 2 controllerplayers, but let’s be fair here they probably would’ve also won with Hal on mnk. But his interview right after the win was quite interesting when he said that he felt the need to switch to controller because he felt like he can’t keep mechanically up anymore. Does this mean that competitive players are 10 to 1 on pc vs. console? Or does it mean that, regardless of platform, the very best players prefer mnk by a huge margin? If the latter then why are we even having a discussion where the op can assert "That's why pro players are choosing controlller over mnk" and go unchallenged?

@rikzin98 Funny you say no recoil on controller. Hiswattson just said yesterday he can't control recoil on controller.
It's actually the opposite... way easier to control recoil on the mouse... you just shake a tiny bit the mouse and it removes recoil.
On a stick it's way harder and you have latency of movement from one direction to the other while on the mouse it is instantly from one direction to the other.
Another mouse advantage duh
