Very interesting observation even though I dont share that experience of the SBMM. I have basically two accounts that I play on:
1st: My "old" main that now is my "tryhard account". I use this to play ONLY casual mode when I wanna "steamroll" with my premade friends or just tryhard solo or duo etc. So no ranked and no solo casual.
Winrate: 16%
K/D: 2.6
5k games
Highest rank Platinum 4 Season 2.
2st: My "new" main (the main reason why I switched back in S3 is because I got a heirloom). I use this to play ranked, usually 3-stack premade (not so much ranked the last splits), but maybe 80% of the games are solo casual so pretty much no premade casual at all.
Winrate 7.56 %
K/D: 1.89
6k games
Highest rank: Master a couple of splits ago but current rank is Plat1 or Diamond 4 or something.
And regardless what account I play on my pubs feels about the same when I am solo, which seem to have a wide range of players; a handful of preds/masters, some more but not too many Diamonds and good Plats and alot of average to bad. But whenever I play Premade, especially full stack, the SBMM becomes considerable hotter on both accounts, with several master and Pred trails every lobby. So in my experience, SBMM seem to "react" mostly to whether if you are premade or solo, giving you easier matches when solo etc.
