New Ranked System promotes camping

The new rank system is making me want to not play apex anymore. I've been playing since season 0 and this is the first time I've felt like I don't want to play the game because of the game. I feel as if the rank system promotes camping because kills mean virtually nothing. Wiping a squad means nothing. Wiping two squads mean nothing. Maybe once you hit three squads you can see the points but even then the kills multiplier does nothing for you if you don't place top 3. Also, even placing top 3 with kills doesn't guarantee a lot of points now. In previous seasons the joy of playing ranked was going around getting kills and seeing the benefits of getting high kills in your lobby. Now, as I said, its camping and who can get into the neutral rank placement in a lobby to not lose points before even trying to fight.

To rank up its all about playing a lot of games. Its about putting in multiple multiple hours to even try to rank up one tier because the point given to point taken ratio is skewed in favor of the latter.

Makes me sad. I think I'll step away from Apex until an update to the Rank and if not. iono. :<

@TheRedLion93 That garbage dev post is just bluntly saying "according to our own set criteria without any regard to player feedback or surveys we have succeded with our goals" and they also just state "we will continue this path whatever you all say"
  • @drevinum9 I understand.

But it's better than not listening to us and doing nothing at all to try at least making the Rank system a bit better than usual.

@TheRedLion93 You know what it would have been better to not listen at all and doing nothing at all then the new ranked system would never have been born!

@TheRedLion93 If they keep changing without listening for the effects and just come up with their own homemade measure about what they achieve and call it a win but then in reality the perceived experience is not at all corresponding to their made up reality, is that a win? NO obviously not.
