We've just released some additional info about the anti-cheat in Apex, following on from the recent discussion and acknowledgement.
Thanks for the ongoing discussion and feedback, hopefully this is a nice (albeit brief) peek behind the curtain. We'll continue to share other updates as we get them, thanks again all!
I'll go long stretches with low level teammates and 3 stack/smurf/cheater enemies resulting in my team getting erased in record time over and over again. Until that stops and I feel like my teammates and enemies are actual human beings, I won't believe a thing Respawn says about what they are supposedly doing to combat cheating and improve matchmaking. It's nice that they said something, but actions speak louder than words at this point.
@HappyHourSumwur Yeah, the cheating issue is so bad, I've been seeing aimbotters as randoms on my team. I've been reporting them as I've see them, but they're still playing even months later. I just hope that the reports are doing something to help deal with the cheaters. We'll see, I suppose.
