What you say is all true. But that doesn't mean the game is less skillful.
If anything, sniper rifles SUCKED! And yeah, now the triple take is great, and it should be used by you for sure. All seasons have gun meta and energy guns are clearly meta this season (except the L star, go figure, but LMGs to me aren't that useful now unless you are running Rampart).
Skill is not, obviously, just hitting your target in the head with a bullet. It is positioning, fighting the fights to win, using strategy as the circle closes, blah blah blah you know. And frankly, with sniper rifles being okay (Charge, TTake, Longbow if you have skullpiercer...) thats definitely a more positioning, more field of view gun. What you need to do, I believe, is contend with snipers which you really never had to do before. And that means really being aware of how visible you are even if you don't see bad guys.
I say these things and sometimes people are like 'I know what you're talking about! I do that!' I'm not saying you don't. But I'm saying everyone needs to do way more of it. Personally, I like the meta, with the exception being at close range energy weapons are so good you don't even use shotguns anymore. The Volt is a little OP but the 301 both has longer range and is switchable from single fire to burst. Probably, sure a volt can outgun it at short range, but it can't compete at the mid to end of r301s spectrum. Which...is the way its supposed to be. Me, I still like the 301. But now, I'd rather carry a hemlock...availability willing, of course. And I still go for a 301 every now and then. (Hemlock needed a buff and got it)
So...I don't know, I'm just trying to help. I think the meta has shifted, and it is for the better. But it sure isn't the way it used to be. I think proper adjusting is only good, and again...only the shotguns now need a buff.

@KelRiever If the health/shield isnt going to be reverted alot of players will leave for cod, All the guns and legends should be balanced so people have there own options the game creates its own meta, instead of balancing the game out and making all legends and weapons viable
@DaleWWilson95I am glad someone else gets it. Trying to follow trends of other games or mechanics is just the wrong route to go. Apex was fine how it was. Now the skill level while its still here it still gets people loads kills they never would of gotten before these changes.
Only people i could see who actually enjoy TTK changes are the ones who are finally getting kills. I have been getting kills before these changes i will still get them. But the game has become absolute bore. It just is not apex anymore. This update took the game down a road that is changing the way apex mechanics have worked and do work.
If the changes are not reverted at some point I most likely will be done with apex. I play a shooter for action pact games i do not play hunting games because its boring. With TTK you have campers hiding in corners meaning we have to hunt these kids down just to find action in this game. Its boring dull and more i could say that i wont. Thanks EA for ruining what apex was.Examples how bad it got..,..
Before the changes I could easily average 5-15 kills a game with 1500 to 3500 damage last season...
This season im winning games with only 2 kills and 800 damage..................
I am winning games with 6 kills 900 damage........
This game is now boring
how do you hunt players down when they keep getting more and more defensive characters, your offensive characters have been taken away, there is no rewards for you from killing these peoples and taking a risk while doing it just to run in d3 with two plat 4 randoms into top 10 predator team where every person has played together for months.
some good decisions like ttk has been implemented with some very bad decisions like wraith and pathfinder nerfs into one single horrible result that makes no sense in any noticeable formula.
If i try to find something positive in my experience with probably 2000 hours of gameplay
I used to load up this game and felt very stoked thinking "goddamn, i feel like hitting some wraith q's, or doing some insane grabble stuff"
now when i start the game i mostly think "oh man, all i see in character screen is boringboringboring but i dont really have other options so i guess i play bloodhound, not because i want to but because i kinda have to or maybe i just start valorant instead because i know i get bad teammates anyways"
- @tziiware I hunt players down quite easily. They shoot that first shot they better run. Same as before. We sit we listen we charge. I also make sure one my team is a crypto or bloodhound. Just because it has gotten soo bad we literally have to hunt people down.
The game in its current state you either drop fight entire game. Or you fight 1 team and spend rest time looking for people. Now I cant even have challenging battles. Unless im run up on by 3 at same exact time i have no challenge. The 1-2 with TTK i kill with 2 simple mags. Its boring I miss the days where i was worried if i was ran up on. Now i laugh and encourage them to run up on me. Cause they will die... I dont want easy kills i want the challenge. Even facing fellow preds its soo much easier for me kill them or them me. Couple correct shots boom fight is over. There is not much skill left in the game when comes to fighting. Movement is only advantage you have of not having your head blown off in 1 shot. lol
- @E9ine_AC Imo there catering to an audience so Apex gets more eyes but there doing it the wrong way.. Normal duo/trios just full of people preying on the innocent racking up there kills and win ranked is complete opposite
- @DaleWWilson95 Pretty much they either helped below average wrack up kills they never would of gotten. Or they make the game not enjoyable by lower tier players who are now not shot and killed in say 20 bullets but 8.
