Before the next-gen update, I think many Xbox players have used the Auto-HDR to play Apex on HDR and the graphics is great.
But after the recent update with so call native HDR support, I found that the HDR is worse, all the colours are wash-out. I also check some PS5, they seems to be working fine.

Correct. I notice the washed out colors among other bugs. Hopefully this will be corrected in the next week or two.
I’m glad I’m not the only who noticed this problem. But at the same time, I’m very sorry you are having this problem as well. I’m hoping they fix this soon, cause it’s very difficult to play right now. I’ve sorta taken a small break and check back periodically to see if they fixed it.
I'm colourblind and the washed out colours has made the game pretty unplayable even with colourblind mode on, can't tell what level items are in BR and in Arenas for example I cant even tell how many tacticals I've purchased as the bars underneath items just blend into the background
i fixed myn after resetting my picture setting also depends on tv you have lowered brightness just little bit if you have contrast enhancer that where you get that washed out colors
