OCTANE NEEDS BUFF
OCTANE NEEDS A BUFF/CHANGE 1. His Speed Ill start by saying that with a name like Octane and having the description of “High-Speed Daredevil” you would think he would be the “fastest” overall legen...
Im sorry you are being led by misinformation from random sources and not actual Apex Legends in game evidence.
LOW PROFILE = Legend more difficult to hit, takes 5%more damage.
Each legend has their own hit box ”size” and LOW PROFILE in game does not state it changes hit box size.
And what I said about octanes stim shows true in basically every scenario he is in and needs to stim. For example trying to 3rd party is a lot easier when you engage with the ability to hear all the sounds ( explosives, ultimates, footsteps, reloading, running, climbing, jumping, etc.. )
@KoltSoloLow Profile is literally just a title, it nerfs a legend by making them take 5% more damage...
It does not magically ‘’buff’’ a legend and change their hitboxes to make them harder to hit just because they are given a title @Sir_Named is completely correct and you are not
@KoltSoloI thought all of this would be common sence... Apparently not in your case to be honest i think you are just trying to troll everyone because I don’t think you are that stupid, not trying to be rude just judging by everything you have said above seems like a form of trolling behavior
Low Profile is was given to Pathfinder, lifeline, and wraith because they were the most picked legends in the game, also because pathfinder has a broken hitbox, lifeline has fast heals, and wraith runs all bent over and can phase and recently low profile was given to wattson because shes the only small hitbox character with defensive abilitys... it is a nerf but does not change their hitbox at all only increases incoming damage by 5%
Fortified was given to Caustic and Gibralter because obviously they are the thick bois of the game but also because they were the least used legends because of how easy they were to kill at the time so they now take 15% less damage, i never said fortified wasn’t a buff... that was just your childish trolling behaivor jumping to conclusions
Your above statements were saying low profile ‘’makes a hitbox harder to hit’’ which is completely incorrect as the hitbox was hard to hit before the low profile was added to the game... low profile was added to help fight against legends with harder to hit hitboxes and the devs were hoping to see pathfinder, lifeline, and wraith chose less to see the other legends getting used more often (it was literally in the dev steam with the game developers explaining it if Im rememberring correctly)
Octanes hitbox may be small but he is by no means hard to hit even when hes stimming so he does not need low profile, also his hitbox isn’t broken compared to pathfinder where you used to be able to shoot him in the back and nothing would happen but that has been fixed
I am no longer answerring to your childish answers, I don’t understand whats going on in your brain but you are misunderstanding the most simple straight forward concept... it literally states +5% incoming damage or -15% incoming damage
@EA_Blueberry Could you settle this for us? Thanks!

Personally, I like where Octane is at right now but at times do feel like Pathfinder has a little more versatility. When you get towards the end of the game the need to run faster becomes more limited.
My thoughts:
Only potential issue I see with the second jump pad is when you combine him with Wattson and Caustic. I love throwing the jump pads right outside doors to make it harder for players to come in (or even inside of a building right around the corner where they might not see it). If you were able to cover a second entry it might cause a balance issue, maybe.
I think it's important to always think about the makeup of your squad rather than just an individual contributor. If you combine Octane, Bangalore, and Wraith/Lifeline/Bloodhound, you'll have 2 players moving at faster speeds while getting shot at while you can create portals inside the smoke to evac, or heal within the smoke with lifeline. Aggressiveness would be the key with Legends that are fast, IMO. Go with the SMGs or Pistols that can use digital threats so you can pop your smoke at enemys and rush them.

Don’t want to be rude, but I think you kind of missed what we wanted you to settle...
Or maybe you chose not to settle it for reasons we can’t comprehend currently.
I think @FaIIenAngeI777 summed up low profile very well and based off where this conversation has been going with the personal attacks against each other, we'll be locking this down now from further replies.
