PC Mouse & Keyboard Only Servers Please!

People that argue over this idea that aim assistance is unacceptable in native mouse & keyboard lobbies are just either naive and/ or biased.

Naive and/ or Biased because they've never physically used a native mouse & keyboard themselves to know personally how hard it really is. Most used those fake mouse & keyboard setups and just think that's how the real thing works.

I'm sick of controller users being on the same playing field as mouse & keyboard users why aim assistance is involved as it directly goes against the common style of learning to aim themselves.

It's common for controller users with aim assistance to learn on how to crouch spam more than aiming because the user doesn't need to look at aiming directly, but how the opponent is reacting. It's taught early in console gameplay that (mostly) everyone has aim assist, so you try to break the other person's lock, so to say.

It's for sure a tricky subject as some of the developers themselves use controllers, and that brings with it a whole bag of biased opinions straight from the studio, it more than likely that's why PC has aim assistance in the first place.

I totally get that the creators who do use these types of inputs want to stay competitive, but no one should have access to aim assistance while in the presence of a mouse & keyboard user.

Someone using a mouse & keyboard has to physically use their eyes, hands directly through gameplay, whereas a controller user can physically be mentally not there so to speak, and still have better aim if in close range.

Aim Assistance in Apex Legends directly says that no one should learn on how to aim, but just hot drop and hope your aim assistance works.

Understand I said everything above, and I'm a controller user 99% of the time. I can't use the mouse & keyboard, because most of the players are using a controller because of how easy it really is.

The only reason Valorant took off is because mouse & keyboard players didn't want to deal with aim assisted players anymore, nor they shouldn't have too! Respawn needs to grow up and put an end to this very bad design flaw or just change it's name to Apex Aim Assist and watch it become Fortnite.

Something needs to change immediately.

  • @Popa2caps Aim Assist is definitely overturned. It should help level the playing field, but not be so strong that it’s equal to aiming with a mouse.

To have good aim with a mouse, you have to invest a lot of time and effort. It’s not just “clicking on heads”.

Aim Assist locks on to hit boxes. Ignores visual clutter and lagging hit boxes. I play with a few friends that use both, and they end up always using a controller because it’s easier for them to be consistent.

@RaginSam friend tried controller play for the first time (prodigy player on the mouse, above 50% LG Acc in Quake), trained 10 minutes on the Range and then jumped right into the game : 3.5K dmg first try ... he said its too easy , even on PC with "only" 40% Aimassist.
  • I came back to try this game after years of not playing it. Still no mouse and keyboard servers.

That's why I never purchase anything from EAl. I don't come to play a game so I can be a punching bag for cheaters on controllers that have zero skill with actual aiming.

Won't be coming back to this trash. There are a ton of other games like CS and Valorant that will never die just because of pure aiming skill. This will be dead in a year or so.

Why they dont separate controller players with M&K, same way they separate predator players from bronze.

If there will be 120 players, 61 with controller and 59 with m&k then 1 controller player will be put in m&k lobby, second lobby will be 100% controller.

With a large number of players, situations where m&k meet the controller will be very rare.
