Penalty and Loss of LP in Apex

Dude I’m so * tired of my game crashing, then having to reset my game, to come back and I have a 10 minute penalty and then loss of LP. I was just at 300 something LP in Plat 1 and my game crashes, I now have 42. Like what the *. They need to fix this. And at least on the outside it seems easy. Write a code in there where if a play disconnects they don’t lose anything. It shouldn’t be hard to distinguish between a player quitting from someone who disconnects. This has happened 3 times now this season.

    @awesnapmatt Players would just end up "disconnecting" more, which would just abuse that system if it gets added.

    This would be by:

    - Unplugging their Internet connection
    - Alt + F4 on PC
    - Turning off the PC or console

    The system would have to identify if the player had crashed or if the server closed, kicked, or otherwise disconnected the player. Which would then not blame the player for "leaving their team". If the player didn't crash or got removed by the server, then it would assume the player left themselves.


    Right now, if you "disconnect", 9 out of 10 times, the game removes you from the match as if you had quit yourself, which hits you with a penalty. This includes if its the server's own fault that you got disconnected, such as if the server had crashed, timed out, or it had hit you with the "server was running for too long" error message.
