Finishers are just a fun way to flex on people after you kill them, they aren’t meant to be triggering & rage inducing. There are tactical reasons to use a finisher too

Yeah I agree! Finishers are an effective way of dealing with people that use knockdown shields. Also you can sit on people as Gibraltar, and I don't think you can effectively argue the case to take that out of the game.

Exactly. If the opportunity is available where you feel you're safe from enemy fire it can save you some ammo and as well as benefit you even more if you have legendary armor. The developers never intended it to be rage inducing. We hope the animations from them are fun to use in battle.

  No. I' m saying that finishers are offensive. They are the equivalent to what some cultures have done in the past. Once they injured their enemy, the would place them face down and urinate on them so as to mock them and dominate them. Finishers are basically the equivalent to this. That's how they come across especially to casuals that spend their evening getting slaughtered in Apex. Proof to my point is that that's when players often quit the match. Imo, I think this whole 'downed' thing is kind of pointless. If an enemy has killed you, then you're dead. Crawling around hopelessly seems stupid to me. Then the finisher. Then getting your banner picked up, then taking it to a respawn beacon. sheesh. It's really so overdone. I would just have the kill and that's it. Then a regular respawn if that's what's desired. Furthermore, I really don't see how a finisher is any quicker than punching a guy 3 or 4 times, honestly. But as forums are about opinions and perspectives, this is mine. Thanks
