Perfect Passives
These are my opinions for better passive replacements for a few of the legends that could use a little upgrade. I put considerable thought in this so any feedback would mean a lot. I hope you like th...
I think Pathfinder should get the passive of having no hard landings (or faster recovery from them), letting you drop down on people where other legends would be left unable to act for a second.
Revenant should have his passive climb ability buffed to climb even higher. He should be able to climb up on the lower sections of the outer Repulsor walls, at the very least. They can make the last third of the climb be slow, as to make it more of a flanking/ambush tool rather than an escape one.
And for Crypto... Maybe let him mark enemies in his line of sight within a limited range (maybe same marking range as his drone?) for his teammates, letting them more easily jump whoever you're currently fighting. Could require him having his drone recalled, or could always be active. Either or, honestly, since Crypto feels kind of lacking currently.
I'm sorry to say, but wall-running wouldn't be OP in this game. i rarely used it in shadow-fall, but I always ran into something or the wall wasn't that wide to run on. Now putting it on path would be a terrible idea. Pathfinder is already growing back in popularity and coming back to his older/previous self, which everyone missed.
I agree with the other two for Crypto and Revenant.
But let me explain which legend makes most sense for wall-running.
Shadows:
-Passively Heals
-Runs 40% faster
-Double Jumps
-Wall Runs
OCTANE:
-Passively Heals
-Runs 40% faster
-Double Jumps
This is why wall-running works with Octane and not Path or any other legend:
Octane is fun but not really viable
Horizon is about to out-do the jump-pad
Path Grapple would have to be literally perfect to do a decent wall-run (it just wouldn't work)
Jump-pad can get Octane high enough to make a good wall-run
Octane's crazy enough to do it (lore) and you know: "robotic legs" (how else would Octane do the speed gauntlet in the lore without wall-running)
Octane's passive isn't enough
Makes Octane more Fun to Play
And if wall running is SO OP! Then I guess you can make Octane glow green, so he's more noticeable! (Or only make him wall-run when stimmed) So at least there is a consequence.
