Plus you forget the most important; it doesnt work because people create another account as often as they want.
The agent is trained for this, it's their job.
Many stores do this, though the difference here is that in stores it's harder to pick up onto this behaviour.
And again, players accept the guidelines, they are fully aware of what they are allowed to do.
I doubt it would need regulating from the outside as these terms are clearly stated, it's on the user for not following them.
Rules are there to be enforced, not to lightly play around them.
Either follow the house rules or don't get involved.
Bypassing a ban with another account is a violation of the guidelines, therefore it doesn't work as these users get actioned again.
Though just as the store example I gave earlier, it's harder to pick up on this.
- Palette24carats4 years agoSeasoned Ace@XHelperZ Of course they accept or they dont play.
Like signing for these terms to enter a store or you cant enter the store. Ridiculous. - XHelperZ4 years agoHero+
@Palette24carats I don't think it's that weird.
A store is private property, therefore you have to accept the ruels to enter it.
Not ridiculous, if you don't want to follow rules then you won't be accepted into said store.
A store can make up these exact rules, if mentioned at a proper place.
So it's completely reasonable, we shouldn't act more lightly because people would like that more.

Although I understand that players should be punished if they violate the rules, it seems too harsh for me.
My friend's account was suspended probably like a year ago, but he totally forgot about that.
A permanent ban just wipes out all money and effort that players had given into this game.
That's why I think that an in-game mute is better since it can reduce the number of subaccounts and rage cheaters. - CCbathwater4 years agoSeasoned Ace
Players accept the guidelines... A company can't just make up any silly guideline or do whatever it wants. If it gets silly enough, like taking away people's EA account (which SONY btw should step in and disallow on its platform to begin with), thus effectively stealing stuff you have actually bought, because you said *** ****** ****** **** or whatever, then obviously said company is not mature enough to make any guidelines whatsoever without a goverment/politician holding its hand through it by making some laws that protect the consumer against this type of abuse.

@reconzero I understand why you think this way and I don't go around swearing at teammates either but for me I do think the punishment for profanity or a bit of trash talk is a bit excessive. I've read threads where people were banned for just saying a bad word that wasn't even aimed at his teammate.
I've been on the receiving end of some hate but instead of getting upset or reporting said player I laughed at how the dude was losing just as bad as I was. It drove him wild hehe. It's quite frankly just a part of online gaming and nothing is gonna change the culture. If it happens we could always just quit the game and move on vs reporting someone and having them lose everything they collected and paid for for life...
I believe there are better ways to deal with this, muted comms as a punishment might or might not be it. But I can't get behind EA on this one.

I'm not even trying to say that I'm behind EA on this one either. I guess what I'm saying is that, good or bad policy, it's still the policy. It's a known thing. If the penalty for spitting in public is life in prison then just stop spitting in public and no more complaining about draconian punishments for innocent infractions and the infringement of our inalienable rights. - 4 years ago@reconzero well yeah, I guess I understand that but the op was merely suggesting an alternative to the rule because it seems harsh. It's really no different than any other suggestion we see on here really. If we're gonna say "rules are rules", we might as well say "the game is what it is, deal with it" and call it a day 🙂
