Nearly half of randoms I encounter are extremely afraid to engage any fights, even though we are at advantage , such as having the high ground, outnumbering the enemy team or having a surprise element.We all know the ranked mode encourages engaging fights. You’ll get far more RP by scoring kills and assists than camping into the final ring without getting any kills.Games with aforementioned randoms always end with 0 team kills and a negative RP.Some others randoms are not much better. They stay behind engaging teammates and the second a teammate’s armor get cracked, they'll start fleeing without hesitation.Playing ranked with such teammates is extremely painful and frustrating. In my opinion.

@DeathRaven_1983 I disagree. Don't penalize players because they dont think nor play like you. I suggest finding friends for ranked. Going in solo is on you. Its not the games fault or the other players. Its the one who cant make friends in a game thats 2 years old with millions of players. You only need 2 out that vast amount of players. Should be quite easy to find a friend in game that you play well with. Just as most of us have. But those on forums complaining calling teammates brain dead when they solo qued into a very team oriented game mode.

If you want better play get out of those ranks, find teammates that play like you and it will be easier.I soloQ out of those ranks with no issue so anyone can do it.Better mindset to playing ranked is stop trying to control the things you can't and just worry about how to improve your own game, if you plan to soloQ.

@DeathRaven_1983 The game will not cater to 1 play style. Nor can it force play styles upon others. While it can be annoying everyone just has their own play style.

I don’t know if Respawn ever said that before. But if they did, they should consider matchmaking based on playing style.

They can still play in pub. They can still play with any style they want, just not in ranked, which is all about getting RP by engaging fights.

I do have friends playing Apex, but the time when we are all online are very short. I still have to play with randoms most of the time.

@DeathRaven_1983 So what stops you from being partied with randoms and you find someone you play well with? Why out of all your games are you not tossing invites to good players who fit your style. I at one time had 378 friends. All of which i met in apex. I have only 1 RL friend who plays this game and he hardly does play. Im thankfully down to like 70 now or so but yea. I tossed invites to any and everyone i found to fit my style and worked well together.

Ah, you must not be very familiar with Asian servers on PS4. Players in East Asia and SEA all need to play on Tokyo servers because on other servers, nobody play ranked. So nearly all randoms I encounter are speaking different languages from mine.

@DeathRaven_1983 That's what made apex the hot new game. The ping system requires zero talking communication. Apex made pings a thing in fps games and set a stone for doing so. Thats the beauty of the ping system you dont need to talk to ping that a enemy is near.

The pinging system is far from perfect. I don’t think I need to give examples here. There are plenty of suggestions in this forum.
