Unlikely as I think it is, I would love official gyro implementation too 💔
Until then, you CAN get gyro to work by tinkering with Steam Input a little. It's not a perfect solution by a long shot, of course, and you'll either have to set up some really complex layout for yourself, or deal with gyro either controlling your right stick at all times (can get real annoying when picking a perk), or having to toggle it on and off with a separate button (e.g. the share button on Switch/touchpad on PS4/PS5).
I tried that, but sadly it was so inaccurate that it was unplayable. It also acted like the controller should be completely flat at all times to be centered, but as we both know, that isn't how you hold a controller ☹️ love the mirage pfp, mirage rules! They need to buff his decoys and make it so that they are more transparent to himself and allies, cuz they get in the way of aiming so much 😭
Really? I've used Steam Input for gyro in almost every game I play, and rarely had any problems with accuracy... though I suppose it depends on what controller/settings you use.
Personally, I use a PS5 controller, with "Gyro to Joystick Camera [Beta]" at mostly default settings. The main changes I made were: slightly increased "Gyro ° Sensitivity" (to 2.82x), and added a bit of "Both Trigger Soft Pull Dampening" (value is 22). Scary as it all may seem, the settings have pretty good textblurbs explaining what they do. 😉
Maybe this helps? Maybe you've already tried these things? I could try and give you more "tech support", but I'm not sure I wanna derail this thread with textwalls about my own configs 🤓
Agree on the Mirage Decoy thing. If not for me, at least make sure I don't blind my allies! 😢
- @HiddelRiddel thanks for your help! May I ask one last thing? Why is my ea name my fortnite name? 😅 My ea name is MycoZephyr, and I have never used it for this, it's weird. At first I thought It was because I linked my epic account to my ea to play dragon age, but then I remembered I have two, my switch only one, and my PC one. My PC one is also MycoZephyr, so I have no idea 😮💨
