I just finished a match of Control. There was an eight stack of cheaters on the opposing team. One of my friends was their 9th player, and reported to me that these guys are bragging on voice chat about the quality of their cheats. Even though this cost my friend a 30-minute abandonment penalty, he left the game and advised me on discord what was going on. Four of the people on the opposing teams, I have reported for cheating at least 12 times now. It is quite obvious that the reporting system does absolutely nothing.
If it's not cheating, it's completely skewed matchmaking pitting God level preds against day one noobs. Maybe one out of every 30 games, I have one that doesn't have a single cheater, or if they do they're being decent about it, and the matchmaking is balanced where the final score is close.
I really wish that the devs would stop with their blatant lying, saying how they take these matters so seriously, yet conveniently get worse with every season and every split update.
I agree with the OP, in that I can guarantee that not a single penny will be given for this game until it is Worthy of financial support. I don't buy broken crap.
