I think that’s actually a really good buff idea for fuse and agree with basically everything you said.
I do have two alternate suggestions.
One, instead of or in addition to having a pool of fire maybe have a third option, I think a line or a long rectangle would also be a good option. You’d be able to cut off enemies routes and have pretty serious damage repercussions because of the thickness of the rectangle.
My second idea is basically a knuckle cluster re- work. The main purpose of the knuckle cluster is to flush enemies out of an area but doing damage. The problem is it simply doesn’t do enough damage the seriously threaten any full health players and second it does it’ll be two strong, I really don think there is a sweet spot.
I propose to exchange the current knuckle cluster for a high tech repulser grenade. It would be used to “push” enemies out of cover momentarily.
It would give him more team usefulness as it give your team a chance to shoot the off put enemies. I don’t know how strong the push should be to be balanced but I think it’s worth thinking about. Also it would add to his versatility in being able to boost his teammates to hard to reach places or push downed teammates to cover. Or even push enemies into circle or off high ground in end game scenarios.

Now that I’m thinking about it, it doesn’t have to be repulser tech but I just think it should do little to no damage.
Also can be used to push enemies into his motherload.- 4 years ago@QuadeYeet I think it would be interesting if any grenade that the player fired could stick to an enemy if it impacted them. This would mean you could sticky an enemy with a frag grenade and have that repulsion effect, as a juicy reward for smacking them dead on / off the wall.

Can I just reiterate how useless this ultimate is?
You have to third party an enemy, catch them completely off guard long enough for them to just plain not move, or have them pushed against a wall so they literally already have nowhere to go ONTOP of them not having a movement ally to assist in their escape.
How many times do we have to say movement is king in this game? 6/17 are Movement Legends. 2/17 Defence Legends, 8/17 Legends capable of completely ignoring his ultimate and even enabling allies to completely ignore it.
Legends with Movement or Escape Abilities for Self: Horizon, Octane (if they intelligently boost out of way) Loba, Pathfinder, Valkyrie, Wraith (Conditional: Revenant with a wall)
Legends with Movement Abilities for Allies: Horizon, Octane, Pathfinder, Valkyrie, WraithLegends with Defence Against Ultimate: Wattson, Gibraltar
This ultimate is tactically useless against just under 50% of the legends alone, and generally the presence of any of the movement or defensive characters just outright makes it worthless. Over 50% if there's a revenant against a buildingIntroduce the slightest platform into the location where you fired, and they can easily jump right overtop.
I really don't mean to come off as crass, but how did none of this come out in testing at all? Or at the least warrant large second thoughts? Please tell me there are some serious changes in season 10 because this is just really sad to play on a Legend with so much potential.

@QuadeYeetI don't think that's quite a good idea as you think, as that would introduce a new meta of yeeting the cr@p outa people. Yeeting someone out of cover for all allies to instantly melt them is actually a fairly overpowered idea, and would take massive levels of tweaking to decide on how much knockback force is "fair".
Yeet them off the map, off a building, away from allies so you can separate them, or into the air and suddenly it's duck hunting season. I could think of hundreds of ways that would become disgustingly OP, especially in the hands of ranked preds. Not to mentioned the ability to yeet an enemy away from his team mates in Arena's or even OUT of the ring where they would potentially take large amounts of damage because its much more dangerous in that game mode.
Frag grenades are the only grenades with Blast impact, and only literally when an enemy is practically sitting ontop of it does it have a large blast force to launch them a hearty distance. What you are proposing is something consistently on par or stronger than that. Even Horizon only gets to control enemy movement to that degree with her ultimate.
I also don't think it quite fits his kit, playstyle or character to have a grenade tactical that doesn't actually deal damage considering he is a demolitions expert. As for having giant lines of flames, that could be a double edged sword for if the fuse can't aim properly and you literally prevent you and your allies from advancing instead, but yea that would be fun, as long as its only a bit longer in length than a thermite.
