@DaleWWilson95 Light and heavy dosnt choose wether a weapon is an AR or SMG, for example a Havoc is also an Assault Rifle, while a devotion is a LMG the type of ammo dosnt really matter that much imo weapon types are based off of firing rate, the size of the mags like LMGs have huge magazines regardless if its a spitfire with heavy ammo or a devotion/L Star with energy ammo and as @Babbediboopi said other factors like the ammount of bullet drop and ammount of damage per shot also seperate the weapon types
