I'm absolutely amazed at how players can even consider themselves decent at the game, when all their skill and hope rides on a single smg that outclasses every single weapon. You see nothing but r99's in gold - predator and it gets old extremely fast. Norms are the only way to play this game since hardly anyone cares about what gun they are using but theres always that occaisonal sweat or controller handicap that walks around 100 to 0'ing you with 2 mags from an r99. It needs to be removed or nerfed heavily cause its pathetic how much of the community relies on it.

Fully kitted Prowler is far better than a fully kitted R99 in my honest opinion.

@SmallZzy A halfway kitted prowler is still better than a fully kitted r99.

@CurlerBenson R99 requires excellent tracking and hand eye coordination, it is quite literally the epitome of being skilled at the game. 2 mags 100-0 is average. One mag on a purple target that isn't a fatty like Gibralter or Caustic requires skill. I can do that on occasion, though for the most part its 120-190 damage with one mag. I've been around since week 1 of Apex, and no, it hasn't always been an R99 meta. I guess you just weren't around for Wingman meta, R301 + Longbow meta, R301 + R99 meta, R301 + Wingman meta, R301 + Peacekeeper meta, Longbow + Peacekeeper meta, DOUBLE R301 meta...It's a nice hyperbole, but it doesn't stick.

@CurlerBenson Strongly disagree. The gave it sufficient nerfs to start the season and buffed some other spray guns like the prowler/havoc. Prowler is probably better than the 99 right now. You just don’t see as many prowlers yet because people are still adjusting to the meta

The meta has and will still be the having R99 in play nothing they've done to this gun has made it to where adjustments to peoples pub stomping loadout must be made. Prowler is only sub par to the r99 with a good enough mag and select fire while you will still out gun most players with an r99 with a common extended.

@CurlerBenson2 mags? You allowed them to reload and were unable to kill them!? L-Star and prowler are both capable of killing without a reload. You can swap to your other weapon before their reload finishes. R99 is now challenging to one clip someone.
Also git gud. You can use any weapon you want, barring initial drop RNG.
