Rampart Alt Too Powerful

I've played numerous games in this new season and the rampart alt is WAYYY over powered. Literally downs you within a second or two even if you have purple shields. The amount of power they gave this...

@TeaJay16 She has a pickrate of 1.5% so no she is not op, don’t run into the big laser and you are good 🙂

@matzesingt Lol. A pickrate does not mean she's not "OP". Her ult is extremely powerful. That is a fact. It decimates players instantly.

But, not running into the red laser is for sure a good way to survive lol

My only complaint about her ult is how quickly she pulls it out and is mowing people down.

  @SolitaryMassacre If something is op then people will abuse it, especially in higher ratings.
  
  To me hee ult is fine, just don’t challenge her, and if you do then do it with short peeks arround a corner that ult is so loud and so visible that you pin point her location almost to the centimeter.
  
  But I also seen a lot of weird people trying to cross an open field while she is aiming there, or they try to challenger her in open field 1on1 and that is something you should lose 100% else the ult wouldn’t be of any real use and she would be better of just using a normal weapon

    @matzesingt I hate this logic of "Pick rate = OP"
    
    People pick legends for an array of reasons. Something can be OP but still not picked because something else is preferred by that player. Therefore, pick rate cannot equal "strength" in game. Example: Players may prefer wraith for how they play and her low profile over rampart's ultimate. Etc.
    
    EA does this all the time, they use pick rate to determine which guns/legends need a nerf instead of actual helpful heuristics like "accuracy" (for guns) and maybe like average kills for legends (note you do this on a kill basis not overall, this way pick rate is irrelevant. You normalize each player to a standard value.)

    I completely agree with you on rampart's ult. It is perfect where it is and you def should not challenge her or run across open terrain and expect to live lol.
    
    My only complaint is when I'm in a firefight and I can't reload faster than she can pull out her ult and mow me down. Which to that I say reload speeds need a slight buff when equiped with purple stocks.
