Ranked Play - Fixing the RP system.

Rank Points are way too hard to get, and it takes too much to rank up. In gold, I never had a problem with losing RP, and I ranked up to platinum really quickly. Platinum is where the RP system break...

Well, if you even admit it yourself that you actually are a worse Apex player than the average Platinum, then it doesnt make much sense that you should advance through Platinum easily, does it?

If we look at the entry costs and the possible way to gain RP, we can summarize it this way: It is possible to reach Platinum 4 for almost anyone with some patients. I guess this is yet another way that Respawn is "looking out" for casual gamers. But to start advancing beyond Plat4 you actually need to generally be better than your opponents.

SO many people on my Discord channel are hard stuck in Plat 4 for just this reason, which must make Plat a real ELO hell if you play with randoms =)

@Babbediboopi Well said. I'm trying to say that it takes too long to rank up out of these bad ranks. I get stuck with the most brain dead team mates. I end up having to 1v3 because my team decided not to go for vault loot and attack another squad when they had no shield. I get team mates with no mics, and have us all muted. It's ridiculous. It's much harder to rank up, when I'm basically 1v3ing every squad. I'd say its safe to say that half of all my kills in plat are squad wipes.

    Yes, thats why playing ranked with randoms is something that I will never do =) 


    But based on two assumptions that "many" players in Platinum4 is actually worse skilled than the average Platinum players (and therefor stuck in Plat4) and that "many" players play ranked with randoms, any player with "true" platinum skills will manage to get out of this ELO hell over many games. Thats just a statistical fact; as long as you are better than your competition, you will win more than you lose. It might just take some time and patients.
