Ranked Play Platinums facing Predators

That's simply because the game is filled with diamonds in duos. In one match there were like 20-25 diamonds and predators dropping. Makes sense since, not so long ago, diamonds were complaining about having hard times ranking up, because of predators joining the lobbies. Many of them probably stopped grinding and turned to duos for hunting badges, so it's very possible that there are too few diamonds and predators playing ranked, which is why the matchmaking distributes them to lower ranks, where there are more players in the queue. It's either this or longer queues for them and probably even for platinum, which would turn into a loss of a large number of good players.
