Re: Add input based matchmaking please

@Blahman_qdlvtra I hear ya! I somewhat agree with you. I think they should do exactly that, I think they should allow MnK players to plug in on console and run the game BUT the matchmaking should change accordingly to the inputs of the device, so you can play with PC players etc.
At the moment it seems like console players play together and PC players play together in the matchmaking, unless you have someone in your pre-made lobby thats running PC then you all get thrown in PC lobbies regardless of input.

Now I play both PC and console lobbies depending who I have in my pre-made lobbies and I can confirm that on apex legends, MnK players do have advantages than controller players and there are many videos to support this from content creators like Staycation that is controller player on PC and tried using MnK.
1 thing out of the many is straffing while looting. Cannot stress how important sheild swaping or grabbing more ammo is in the middle of a gun fight or when 3rd parties rock up and because you are not standing still while looting you are already at a massive advantage over controller players. That is only 1 out of the many things. Things like curser speed an accruacy while change or looting inventory. It is so much easier to use a mouse to select things and loot / drop compared to a joystick. We are talking. This wont be the case with warzone etc but on Apex legends it does make a huge difference.

    To summarize the advantages of M&K vs controllers:

    Controllers benefit from aim assist because both movement and aiming is defined ENTIRELY by the players right and left thumb only. The result is better tracking at close range typically when hip firing. In my opinion this makes for a lot more players in the mediocre to above average range than M&K. 

    M&K have a much higher learning curve but also skill ceiling. This is because of the versatility of M&K being able to be manipulated more finely with the full motor skill functionality of wrist, hand, thumbs, and fingers.  The result is better evasive and aggressive maneuverability and the potential to develop God-like aim and reactions. 

  • I agree with you guys, but basically what you’re saying is that Apex is a completely different game really on MnK. I just don’t understand why PC players can choose between Mnk and controller and console cannot. Put me in the PC lobbies!! I want to play the real Apex haha
