Re: Apex Legends Cross Platform

Hey @CezQT

I'm afraid we don't have an exact date that cross-play will be available for Apex Legends. When it was announced the team mentioned it would be available sometime this Fall, but that's all we know right now.

Once we know more we'll most likely make an announcement to let everyone know. A good place to keep an eye out for updates would be over at the official Apex Legends Twitter page.

    @Srksii

    Indeed it is! It feels like the announcement just happened yesterday, but here we are nearly in October. 😮

  • Crossplay will be a mistake. SBMM just makes PC players take turns getting carried by cheater lobbies to get above a 0% winrate. Then you play against predator lobbies and cheaters for 20 or so matches before it does makeup sex repeating this loop with giving you a single match of being force carried by a cheater stack.

    Leave console players alone and do not rope them in with PC players, as you'll just degrade their experience. The console players will just quit the game from being forced to take turns with/against closet cheaters.

    Before someone says that the closet cheater situation is overstated, let me make it clear I've counted at least two dozen unique apex legends aimbot discords, 4 of which have vanity invite urls, and 7 of which have over a thousand people lurking in each. EA is not sending in DMCA requests to Discord to take these communities down, which is one of the lowest hanging fruits a legal team can do. I've had to send in tickets to Discord staff myself but it takes weeks for them to shut these down (and discord just lets them ban evade). A DMCA from EA can do this instantly, as well as request the IP logs of said discord users.
