Re: Buff the Alternator

Youll find alot of replies that say its fine where its at and is meant to be weak. That just a lazy response the avoids the issue. There is about 0 point of having a weak weapon in the game as it wont be used unless your unlucky enough to find nothing but it.

And anyway even if people want weaker guns in the game the alternator shouldnt be one of them. Its the only submachine gun with lowfire rate which makes for some unique action. It defenitely deserves a slight damage buff as at the moment the prowler beats it in ever single aspect.

@IBiteDogs01 There are supposed to be some weapons that are stronger than others. That’s what the devs want to do. Besides, the weaker guns are still useful, you can still do well with them.

@Sir_Named And the re-45, p2020 and Moz are perfect for that.
All the AR's are viable so why cant all the smgs be. I think I have a soft spot for the Alternator because it was my favourite smg in TF2, just dont like seeing it as an early game weapon and I cant see why a slight buff would hurt.

I'm not going to lose any sleep if it doesn't though lol.

@Sir_Namedi see no point in having weaker guns that no one wants to pickup. even if the devs want to do that this feedback is pointed towards the devs.

also, even if their is an good reason for having weak weapons (which im not seeing), the alternator shouldnt be one of the them. its a unique sub machine gun that would be more fun if it was more viable. Titan fall 2 is proof of that as the gun was loved by many.

@xx_Dante2k_xx A slight buff would help, but the alternator is okay. I think it did get buffed after it’s hop-up was removed, so it is an okay weapon.
All in all, it could get a buff, but don’t get too hung up on it.

@IBiteDogs01 I don’t doubt that it was popular in Titanfall 2, and I’m sure it would be fun if it was stronger, but this is Apex Legends. It’s not Titanfall 3, and the devs don’t have to cater to the Titanfall fans.
It could use a buff, yeah.
I don’t really know why the devs want a power curve, but they do.
