Best to do so after they sort the bugs that just drop players for no reason or even split up parties. My party have been separated after readying to have one of us put on another team while the other two are put on with a randomer. Plus the annoying "Out of sync with server" error is a pain in the rear.
I play with 5 people regularly, 3 different countries, we have gotten connection error in home screen or when coming out of games but never during games with them.
Here it would also make more sense if you were forced to rejoin that game in that squad, when reconnected, until it's eliminated.
But no, you just hop into your next game
I feel like a harsh penalty for leaving would be pretty bad in cases of waiting to be respawned or revived. I have had multiple matches where I died and then my respawn banner is outside of the ring or it's a battle going on and leaving me behind is a better option where my team wouldn't be able to get it without risks to themselves, and it situations like those I would rather leave than stick around and watch the game unless I see we are close to winning. I want to play the game not spectate when I am basically already out of the match.
