  • @EA_Mako feels not powerfull when using heavy ammo, the feeling is the same as with r99 and lite ammo.
and the recoil, is hard to control during movement and no extra mag. it's empty in sec, but hard to hit with it. Have to practice more I guess.
  • @EA_MakoI just cant see why you would pick it over r99, it just feels like a filler untill you get a r99

It has higher recoil than the r99 and doesnt outperform it even if you would master it

  • @Ryuta47 Car SMG has too much recoil for me, I have been resorting to either a Volt or a Flatline this season and occasionally R-99 or Rampage but idk I’m just not feeling the car but I guess its just the current map and how spread out and open everything is so it might be a better weapon on King’s Canyon or World’s Edge where most fights are close range
  • @Ryuta47 It is much worse in the recoildepartment for no real payoff, so why exactly would you take it over the r99? because of the 2 dps it has more ?xD

@RevMainPls I can already tell you have no idea what your talking about. Here is why its better than the R99: Higher Damage per bullet is 2, not the DPS. DPS is much higher than just 2 and in case you don't know what dps stands for = DAMAGE PER SECOND. It can use light and heavy ammo at the same damage and recoil, literally nothing is different between the 2 ammo types in the car smg and if you get blue attachment the recoil is no different to any other SMG (Assuming your a decent player and not a plat and below ranked player) except to the Volt but the volt has higher recoil in hipfire so its kinda balanced imo. Car smg is more forgiving than r99 is. I missed the other day first 10 bullets on a guy and then hit him with the rest 17 bullets and managed to literaly one clip a purple armor with that where if i was with the r99 i would have never done that since the dps is super low and it wont forgive you missing that many shots. Its easier to find a magazine for the Car smg since it can use heavy and light mag. The only thing that's bad about this gun imo is the sound, it sounds like a god damn RE pistol and I hate that pistol way too much. There is webpages that provide stats also if you still doubt its better than the r99 but then there is ppl who love the r99 way too much (like me cuz i have cool skins for it) and still pick r99 over Car smg.
  • @Ryuta47 I think you tell wrong then...

I remembered the r99 having 199 dps, but it has 198...
    C.A.R has 201.5
So i wouldnt say that is much higher, especially considering the chances of missing a bullet that you would hit with r99
  • @RevMainPlsThen don't use it, that's the beauty of variety. 🙂

2 DPS more but mag sizes are the same, so it's more forgiving. At very close ranges the recoil doesn't matter, all things equal dude with R9 dude with CAR dude with CAR wins.

ETA: Also dual mag and ammo adds a lot of flexibility, less likely to be scrounging for ammo and easier to find an extendo.  Not as big of a deal if you have a Loba on your team. If you don't...

  • @EA_Mako I don't think I hate the CAR, but I feel like it's the least "time invested to damage in game" SMG. The recoil pattern is harder than the R99, the damage (for this scenario a 1 on 1 in close range) seems to favor the CAR, but many more players can handle R99 recoil in a fight to match true DPS while few players can handle the CAR recoil in fight. I don't think it's bad, but I still dump it for the R99 or even Prowler if I'm feeling hot
  • @EA_Mako I think the biggest drawback is the recoil is drastically different than the other SMGs. Even with the Purple Stabe/Stock. Sure it does more damage but the goal of an SMG is one clip to drop one person and then reload. The 99 and especially the volt can do this really well and we can predict where the recoil is going.

The dual ammo, not really a selling point. It's not like switching from one to the other does anything different. There's plenty of ammo everywhere that you are never hurting for either one. Nearly every deathbox has heavy/light.

All in all it felt like you were trying to fill the void of the select fire on the prowler without giving us the select fire back. You were better off just giving the hop-up back and tune the prowler a bit instead of releasing the CAR.
