Sadly, cross progression is not going to come any time soon and Respawn have announced this. It would take a major update to Source (the game engine) for the team to find a way to add cross progression.

Have they not had the time to do so? Over a year waiting, wasted. all money spent, wasted, hours played.... wasted. All for nothing. Do you not see why I am upset, why we all are? We have literally paid for it at this point. Again they have had plenty of time to make it happen, but all for not.

If anybody is coming from a recent video by WaterGotHim I'd like to make it clear I don't work for Respawn or EA!

Community Managers will have an EA Logo beside their name and Apex Legends developers will have a unique rank too.

Although yes, the way the game engine works really makes it difficult for the developers to go back and add a cross progression. Recently datamined code which seems to have the function of transferring what an account "owns" COULD be a version of cross saving in the works but it is more likely that it is a progress transfer from Origin to Steam or current to next-gen consoles.
