I have checked out the help pages provided by EA and I can safely assure you that I have been doing many of these passively already, especially noting the admin-run, DNS-Flush, Cold-boot, Router refresh, DNS/IPv settings and using a third-party program to monitor my internet connection (disabling this service doesn't change the result/chances for Apex Legends running across this problem). My packet loss is 1% or less on various other websites and programs that allow these tests to be made. Even with downloads and uploads enabled in the background. I also always run Apex Legends exclusively, so no other programs aside from Steam and Discord run in the background.

This problem is exclusive to Apex Legends and has been existent and persistent since Season 6. I don't know what significant networking changes have been made in Season 6, but they have been causing some trouble to me and potentially others. I'm not denying that it can't be my fault, but it can't be a conventional problem either that I can easily fix, considering other websites and games work just fine. The best I could do is fiddle around with the Registry of my computer and see if a forced stream could change things, but all things considered having a constant data stream without packing it up would cause various other games, websites and video services to fail or decrease in quality.

To elaborate the issue a bit more in-depth, this problem has been around - as I said - since season 6. From time to time, sadly more often than I want it to be, I start the game with packet loss and it persists in the entirety of the match until I die. If it isn't bad enough already that I can't properly play, if I so happen to die, I can't even return to the main menu and have to quit the game using the task manager. Next few matches can work fine again and then I encounter the same problem with the same severity throughout all the match again. I know two others who had the same issue in which sometimes their connection was bad and they had packet loss with everyone and everything jumping around.

In cases where my Internet actually screwed up, the game had a proper lag going on. I'm talking about a full freeze for a few seconds before the game caught up and synced again. But after that it ran again. Which is a problem I can definitely put the blame on myself. But at least the game catches itself again. This problem is really like rubberbanding with packet loss. One that isn't fixable and persists throughout the game. Even when I quit and re-join the match. Which is the most odd thing of all.

This is why I say this has to be (most likely) a problem with the servers of EA. My internet is doing just fine 90% of the time. In those times in which my Internet screws up, I definitely put the blame on me and my computer. But this packet loss issue has been persistent for several seasons now.

@EA_Darko What region of servers are you on? This is something i (Normally) dont have issues with. Wonder if its region related.
  • @E9ine_AC I use Frankfurt servers. It usually fluctuates between these two automatically, probably chosing the best possible server out of these two.
