Re: [Guide] How to report users and cheaters

@theWonderChris Why are you quoting and thanking @Bowi_QC for their own personal issues?

This game needs a reporting function for cheaters and that's it.

I'm getting so, so, so tired of games that are implementing these reporting systems for people who literally can't take any negative comments at all. If you can't take any criticisms at all in life, you are never going to improve.
In Bowi's case, he/she needs to improve their game and understand why they're being called Garbage. It isn't someone else's responsibility to teach them how to play games and improve their gameplay. It's his/her responsibility to make that improvement.

  • I saw too many cheaters. Also aimbot, I hate that sh*t. EA, please, fix this soon as you can

I'd thanked @Bowi_QC because of a reply they made on the previous thread of this guide. Unfortunately that got deleted, along with all the comments and suggestions that @Bowi_QC  and others had made. I can see how my thanking @Bowi_QC in the OP looks a bit out of context to comments they've since made, but if you could still see their original comments- you'd be able to see it was appreciated.

Sadly your summary of reporting just isn't that cut and dry in my experience. Yes there will be some people who just for revenge will report users as 'harassing' and there will also be those people who you, may deem to 'sensitive'.

But there are also those people who suffer from genuine abuse about serious things like race, sexual orientation, religion, being told to kill themselves - none of that is acceptable regardless of how someone sounds, their play style or skill level. Sadly i've already seen/heard it in this game (not towards me, but the 3rd on our team).

This is why imo reporting, outside of just cheating needs to exist. How prominent that is in the game I agree is up for debate.

Right, and so if that's the case where people are being abused racially, sexually, harrassed... whatever, they need to contact EA Support directly and log an enquiry to take the correct action.

Don't just request an automated, in-game solution that'll be abused more than the players are. This'll lead to people being banned for doing absolutely nothing wrong except making someone feel "butthurt".

There is literally no use case for an automated or in-game reporting function regarding "abuse" that 99.999999999999% of the time doesn't even take place. In the 150+ games I've played of Apex so far, I've not yet encountered a single person that's told me to kill myself, or uttered racial slurs, or been sexist... Yet, with the reporting function you're asking for, I can whole-heartedly guarantee you that in those 150+ games, 149 of them would have had instances where one person would have reported another for "abuse" simply because they don't like being called out for their bad decision making, or poor skill.

  • Can i report someone who openly admitted to trolling noobs in the forums?

@XxColdFangxXif its here on the fourms, DM one of the EA staff (such as @EA_Mako for example). The help.ea team are dedicated to other things like game issues and account.

Also, to add to the thread, the DDOSing issue is back. Game crashed after flying over the Phase Runner on Olympus, and then the next match was extreamly laggy the WHOLE time. I even ulted as Valkyrie to get away, and my ultimate was automatically stopped as the cheating team, steam rolled me over (they didn't shoot me out of the ult, the ult auto-canceled by itself).

Apparently trying to get better sound going, since the game's current system sucks, (I'm using Razer Synapse's THX sound system) causes Apex to lag into oblivian. We get it, you don't like us being able to hear.
