- @hayhor I'm not going to walk around the map holding the knife in my hand until Im ready to throw it and no gun fight would allow you to do that. You need to quick throw them that's the whole point of a throwing knife. Okay any other game with a throwing knife and you'll see it's a quick throw not this long drawn out "bow" shot.
- @chiefthunderball I want to imagine that they did it that way on purpose because gun game gets "harder" as you progress - but it becomes almost so hard that every other good team catches us and it's just random in the end.
- @Str8UpD0gwater it's definitely not random because there are plenty of times I watch knives go right through someone's chest and out the back. It's just aweful programming and terrible upkeep on the game.
As a person with some knife throwing expirience, i can definitely say that quick throw(from the belly with no shoulders rotation) will deal significant damage on a distance about 2m. Considering the wrist movement trajectory on such technique, you can't surely predict impact point and knife rotation at a greater distance. For more distance precise throw swing is absolutely necessary. There are 3 most commonly used types of it, having different trajectories - from same shoulder, from the opposite shoulder, from the opposite shoulder over head. Each of them proves, that longer swing time leads to more accurate and powerful impact. Only alternative is, as mentioned before me, to keep hand with a knife at swing start all the time.
Throw speed and knife speed you possibly get used to via CoD is not realistic, at first, at second - such TK performance would ruin balance more than april fools mozambiques.- E9ine_AC3 years agoHero+@chiefthunderball A lot of times the weapon is not the blame. If you are seeing a knife go through someones chest there are a few factors on how and why this would happen. The main culprit would be ping. Depending on your ping or the person you are shooting at could differ and not register properly at that moment.
The knife operates as it's intended to. It's not poor programming or terrible game upkeep. Just because you have issues aiming with the knife and hitting targets does not mean its the games fault. Since we do not see many if any posts about the knifes accuracy I am leaning towards the knife being fine and some weird other things coming into play or just complete misses. @chiefthunderballI never said to run around holding the trigger to throw the knife. The main trick I've found is to pull back, quickly aim and then let go. If you aim then pull you miss most of the time because the enemy is moving and there is an animation. Slowing down a bit when you have the knife means more than spamming it and hoping for a lucky throw.
