I know first hand what console aim assist feels like compared to PC, I've played both. PC gets .4 and consoles get .6. That .2 of a difference might not sound like a lot, but it is. It's like a walking magnet compared to PCs.
Wasn't there an update not too long ago that made console aim assist like the PC, and hundreds of thousands of console players went crazy? If aim assist topics interest you, watch that first video. It goes deep into some topics, most don't. Like the fact that aim assist is just people stuck on controllers, and don't want their product to become useless, so they say aim assist doesn't do that much or speak up when someone blasts it.
Also, my topic was't necessary about aim assist directly, but more on consoles connecting to PC servers and causing networking issues. So things like latency compensation, ping, Ddos stuff like that.

@Popa2capsthe guy on the video is misleading he says : "this is what aim assist does at its full potency of 1.0, it is safe to assume it does the same at lower value"
No it is not safe to say it does the same! at 0.6 the crosshair never track a target and is never on target if that would be the case I would never need to aim and would have great accuracy, the opposite is true I have thousands of hours of play and still have bad aim compared to a pc player. - ApprovedAnonymous3 years ago
First, you need to stop taking things out of context just to satisfy your own beliefs. Watch the YouTube video from the start and it clearly states the detail about aim assists and all of the findings can be found at the reddit page named, "Comprehensive Breakdown of Aim Assist: How it works & all related arguments".
What do you mean by, "We" in, "exactly how we feel playing PC"? You must be playing in some very remote area on earth because I witness many consoles willing to venture into PC lobbies in Apex Legends.
Played 5 games, 3 had console players (on my team), and one was on the champion squad. You have to be either super naive and/ or extremely biased to think console players care about mouse & keyboard players that much. I know I didn't care when I played my Xbox Series X and/ or original Xbox One in PC lobbies. Also this continuation of some arbitrary disadvantage argument needs to stop, like really. If someone (like me) picked a controller to play with, I'm not going to blame anyone else that I choose to use it.
Also, unless you physically play with a mouse & keyboard yourself, you can't know of the challenges that it takes to use said input device. Your argument of people having access to something doesn't automatically make them professionals, it just gives them access to something.
Most people have access to the internet, but you don't see everyone becoming Albert Einstein. We still have people that believe the earth is flat. My opinion stands, aim assist should be lowered to PC controller settings when joining PC lobbies. Consoles are not by any means rare in PC lobbies (CST US).Warning, the pictures you're about to witness could be shocking and/ or downright disgusting that show consoles do exist, in PC lobbies. Viewer discretion advised.
The person's identity and/ or name has been changed to keep the individual protected. - Palette24carats3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Popa2caps It's not out of context when I use his own words explaining his own logical conclusion about what his video shows.
I never said it's impossible to have consoles on Pc lobbies I said I never see any meaning it is very rare. You post 2 pictures there it could be 2 console teams upon hundreds of games. - @Popa2caps Bro, this doesn't show consoles in pc lobbies. this is showing People playing controller in pc lobbies.

lets face the truth and the very definition of the word assist, people relying on it need the help ...
@r1ggedgame Old thread but of course they do... To make use of the finicky nature of a joystick. Wouldn't be necessary if they had the more accurate mouse instead. Although I don't know if it's implemented in the best way.
Simple way to resolve this is all controller players get a .3 AA. Is there a way to see how many controller players there are compared to PC in higher ranks(Diamond and above). Should be some way to calculate it cause I literally feel like 8-9 players out of 10 are on a controller now days. That should say something about Aim Assist...
Also bringing Seer into this game is like how Brig was brought into Overwatch.. They had to make a new game to just manipulate it lmao.
- BigMacAttack8u3 years agoSeasoned Ace@d1rbyh Having controllers have .3 aim assist would be a horrible decision. PC has .4 AA, so having console be less than PC would be crazy. Controllers need aim assist, if you are getting beat by controller players, then that’s a matchmaking or cheating problem. I hate it when people complain about aim assist, it is actually good for the game, you are just being outplayed by someone with more skill, it’s not like AA is a magical cure all for aim, it’s necessary for controllers.
Lol.. I'm saying give all controllers the same. Not remove it completely. How it's good for the game? Let's see why multiple pros are switching. Why multiple people have a switched in general.. hence why I asked can we actually see the inputs and make educated decisions on those instead of giving 40 to 60 percent aim bot because of the uncooked tator tots that expect it to be given and not skill. Most controller players if skilled do not need it on controller. They use it because.. it makes it easy haha.
- BigMacAttack8u3 years agoSeasoned Ace@d1rbyh Have you even played apex on on controller, or is this just coming from a point of being beaten by better opponents?
- @BigMacAttack8u A matter a fact I have. Also I'm masters so i dont think im bad and not just your hard stuck 15k one either. This is not a who got slammed by who or beaten by better players. I'm asking for answers and your the one criticizing me for asking for them. Calling me bad at the game lol.
Have you even played on Xbox controller before? It's not as glorified as you pc mouse and keyboard players make it out to be.
So what's the fix for Xbox player contaminating your lobbies?
Take away the aim assist or make it even to a pc aim assist while pc players get to keep their superior movement and keybinds that give them many advantages over a controller? Cause that seems fair.
Turn off the cross play, and just don't play with them.
