@Triumphkutter He’s balanced but he’s terrible for the game that’s the problem. With every team running around with an octane it makes the game awful

@DevsREgotisitc They plan on buffing/nerfing him in season 9 so that he can stim more often but it will take 20% health per stim

Personally I just feel like his jump pad cooldown should be slightly increased

@TheApexLegendNub agreed, his Ult needs a bit of a rework, either by increasing the cd like you said/ by making it go away after x amount of seconds.

@AngstyCoder Why nerf the CD? It's a weak Ult that's only a little stronger than a tactical. What makes it good is the low cool down allowing an Octane team to always be ready to engage. I don't know if it has much value (in comparison to all the other Ults) if you increase the CD too much.

  • @Zamaha400 Nah I was proposing an increased CD for jump pad instead of nerfing the stim. While we don't get a lot of TF2 movement mechanics in Apex, he's one of the few that make at least of few of the possible ones much more easier to accomplish. Making the stim deal 20 damage is a bit too much, I'd rather have the Ult have longer cooldown in its place. As an Ult it is pretty underwhelming, but it's better his tactical being nerfed to the ground.
