Re: Matchmaking will make or break Apex for casual gamers in a party

@xIronFist42x Once you get to Silver (if you haven't already) things should start to feel a lot nicer. Making a friend who can be your third is going to be essential going forward though. It makes you so much more coherent as a team and increases your chances of survival exponentially, even if the 3rd is a mediocre player in terms of aiming/movement. Just the fact that they listen and work with you is huge.

  • @Anlbrd I kinda gave up on ranked matches for now, still at Bronze IV.  When I jumped into the ranked matches going solo (Saturday the 6th so probably bad timing), all the stud players were digging in and trying to climb the ranks.

    Solo regular matches were much more competitive and fun...for my skill level anyhow.

    Gotta hit you up when I'm playing again, maybe we can get in a few matches.  You can see my skills, or lack thereof, first hand and tell me if I just need to give it up 🙂

    @xIronFist42xAnswer already is - no you don't need to give it up 🙂 Everyone can improve. Even severe physical limitations aren't an entirely determining factor, most of it is mindset and making the most conscious improvements you can.

    Ask this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMvikz2cA-8 🙂

    I remember you mentioning the 4th of July - I'm happy to have a couple of games etc but in terms of a longstanding option to squad up with I'm probably not going to cut it : I'm in Australia so either you'll lag horribly or I'll lag horribly when we're playing on servers a continent away.

    Absolutely keen to get a game or two in though if only to give you a rest from 3rds who are toxic or just bail on you 😛 "edit au" is my gamertag, just send me a message so I know it's you if you add me.

    Bronze is always going to be a pain because everyone gets thrown in there.  As there's no RP impediment to progressing though : you should do your best to stick with it and get to silver ASAP - as silver is where a lot of the players on your level will congregate.  Everyone starting in Bronze means your chances of running into people who are just starting Apex but are godly at games or godly at apex but dont play much is much higher in bronze than it is in silver.

  • @Anlbrd RockyNoHands is amazing!

    Right on, it'd be cool if we could get in a couple games for sure.

    Who knows, the connection may not be too laggy.  We've had squad mates from South America and Japan (we think, couldn't communicate with the language barrier) and the connection was, surprisingly, serviceable.

    @xIronFist42x Hey man

    People have been complaining alot about the skill barrier, i also have friends who dont take this as competitively as i do. They just like to straight rush like rabbid dogs xD
    So they said, "I'm waiting, i'm playing normals for now and have fun with my friends, and maybe in season 3 or when i feel like the ranking system is setting the dust skill, im gonna farm rankd and find myself on the rank i really deserve to be, being good or bad, i dont care, i came here to shoot some bullet with my bois"

    Hope you are enjoying your games better since you now have a better feedback from it. Like he said, let the dust settle, and things will go smoother :3
  • @A7RDF thank you, we do enjoy the game and have fun when we play solo.....the game is awesome when it's competitive.

    It's the matchmaking whilest were in a party that's still an issue...we can't enjoy the game together when the other players in the match are typically way better.

    Heres to hoping that will change for the better and soon, but it doesn't seem like it will.  We're not giving up on it just yet though ☺.
