Re: new player, games are way too difficult

@Cherubx Howdy! I definitely agree that matchmaking in Apex can be pretty punishing. Even for myself, and I've been playing since the game came out!

I'm obviously not aware of your story and whatnot, but personally, when I first started playing Apex, I was still fairly new to the BR genre. I had dabbled a little bit in PUBG, but hadn't really grasped the strategy and pace of a BR game. I have been gaming since the 90's and have played many many FPS games, but switching to BR games was a change for me, for sure. I was so used to running in like Rambo, Lmao! The best way that I found for me to improve (even to this day), is to play fast/aggressive. I don't mean that I am constantly sprinting towards gunshots looking for fights. I more mean that I don't really "hover", if that makes any sense. I'm not looking to stick around and avoid people. When I don't fight anyone until late in the game, I get destroyed. I do much better when I can get fights early in the game. It helps my thumbs stay ready, for some reason.

Another great way to simply practice gunplay, is to play Arena mode. I would stay away from ranked, but Arena mode is round-based, and you can choose the weapons you want to use each round. I have used it as a training ground quite a bit. It is 3v3, so there is no 3rd party worry. It can also be a great way to just warm up before a gaming session.

My advice would be to just keep at it. Try not to get frustrated when you die. Use deaths as a chance to evaluate your play, and pick up on things that you might be doing wrong/right (a theatre mode would help with this!). My first reaction when I die is usually "C'mon!!!!", but when I think about it, I usually find somewhere I messed up. Maybe I reloaded at the wrong time when I still had half a mag left, or made a bad rotation that I knew I shouldn't have made or got greedy and tried to thirst a knock, and got killed. The only way to improve, is to play. Hopefully you get some good matches and can get into a groove and start racking up kills and wins. Best of luck, to you!

@dSKyNafinchin The guy said the game is difficult (most likely cause he’s being throw into pred/master lobbies after his first 2 games) and yet you try to give some corny response to keep the guy motivated to play when in reality the game is NOT FUN AND TERRIBLE TO PLAY!!! Exactly what I mean about EA not being honest with their consumers
