@1unown1 The matchmaking, at least in Mixtape and Straight Shot is better then last season by far. Sure, there's some matches where there's cheaters or a higher skilled player, but it didn't feel impossible to play as much compared to S19.
In S19, pubs was playable for me, but not ranked. Soon I'll get into ranked and try pubs for a bit, and see how that goes.
Also, glad I'm not the only one who noticed. The aim assist appears to be buffed. I was playing on my Switch as my friend was on my PC, (they don't have a Nintendo account and they were visiting. They also rarely play the game), and we were in the firing range testing the new perks.
In past sessions, when I run past enemies or aim at them, my character would auto rotate slightly towards them, and it keeps up with little side to side movement, the rest required me to move the aim. Now, when I ran past a firing range dummy, my character quickly rotated.
In other words, the aim assist seemed to helped your aim move about 15°, now its more like a 45° turn, and it turns at a smooth and very alarming rate.
Keep in mind, I'm on the original 2017 Switch. This isn't an OLED. I think when they added the next gen upgrade, they accidentally changed the aim assist values, or they're testing different values to see our reactions.
If they're testing, higher values isn't better. lol
Audio is also definitely very much worse as well, especially with the crowd screaming in the Thunderdome map. The crowd is the main thing you hear over everything else. There's several places where someone can zipline or climb up to you with near zero audio.
I saw a Vantage aiming down their ult on top of that circular platform, (the one on the right side of the large skull), and I ran right in front of them. They looked at me through the scope as if I was a teammate and didn't fire a shot. I stood there for about 2 seconds before hitting them with a Longbow.
I only walked in front of them as a, "hey, you didn't hear me", and not to mention, I had flown up behind them as a Valkyrie. The jetpacks aren't quiet, its one of the few things I can still hear in the game.
At least after they realized they got snuck up on, they didn't let it happen twice, at least not with me.
