We do in fact take abuse reports seriously, and if you see it happening then please report whoever is insulting you in game. This article shows exactly how you can do that.

But I can understand wanting to take preventative measures for it as well. Apex does have a communications filter in the settings under "Gameplay" if you'd like to activate it:
