I actually enjoy this mode a lot, being a shadow is so cool, unlocks a totally different kind of gameplay,
plus you can potentially last longer even if you get killed.
Playing itself  is more fun than just winning in Apex.
As other people said if you don't like this mode just play standard: easy peasy!
