I think literally everyone agrees with you that the Legend tokens are pretty useless.

Indeed they are looking into a new feature that lets players pay a small amount of tokens to get some other daily challenge.

I don't see them changing the pay system right now. If players could craft metals from the tokens then they will sell less Apex Coins, so I don't see their benefit in changing it.

It would IMO make more sense to introduce a small amount of crafting materials for each win, or after every 20 level progression beyond rank 20.
